  • Patent number: 10030802
Abstract: Closure element for tightly closing a bore, the closure body of which closure element can be pressed into the bore with an oversize. In order to avoid damage to the bore, the closure body is designed as a hollow body. In this way, the closure body can deform slightly as the closure body is pressed into the bore and can thereby reduce the radial pressure on the wall of the borehole. At the same time, the weight of the closure element is reduced. The closure element is preferably a hollow sphere having uniform wall thickness.

  • Publication number: 20170205017
Abstract: The invention relates to a closure element (1) for tightly closing a bore (2), the closure body (3) of which closure element can be pressed into the bore (2) with an oversize. In order to avoid damage to the bore, the closure body (3) is designed as a hollow body. In this way, the closure body can deform slightly as the closure body is pressed into the bore (2) and can thereby reduce the radial pressure on the wall (4) of the borehole. At the same time, the weight of the closure element is reduced. The closure element is preferably a hollow sphere having uniform wall thickness.

  • Patent number: 9689718
Abstract: An element is provided in particular as a closure element or fastening element for inserting into a bore in a component, such as into a bore in an engine, a valve block, a hydraulic unit or a container. At least one electric element which is arranged in or on the element is provided, wherein each electric element transmits and/or receives electric signals. In the fitted state, the electric element is advantageously positioned such that the electric element is adjacent to the chamber formed in the bore and is therefore in contact, for measuring purposes or the like, with the medium contained in the bore. In addition to the actual sealing and/or fastening function, the element can therefore be used to undertake one or more measurements, etc.

Abstract: An element is provided in particular as a closure element or fastening element for inserting into a bore (12) in a component (11), such as into a bore in an engine, a valve block, a hydraulic unit or a container. At least one electric element (20) which is arranged in the element (10) or on the element (70) is provided, wherein each electric element (20) transmits and/or receives electric signals. In the fitted state, the electric element (20) is advantageously positioned in such a manner that said electric element is adjacent to the chamber (12?) formed in the bore (12) and is therefore in contact, for measuring purposes or the like, with the medium contained in the bore (12). In addition to the actual sealing and/or fastening function, said element can therefore be used to undertake one or more measurements, etc.

  • Patent number: 5632483
Abstract: A module for announcing when a dealer has blackjack without exposing the face of the dealer's down-card. The module scans a character from the dealer's face-down standard playing card, compares the result of the scan with a set of references, and identifies the down-card. The module also receives input from the dealer as to the identity of the dealer's up-card, and announces whether the dealer has blackjack or the hand continues. The module is designed to be mounted to a blackjack table such that the surface of the module on which the standard playing card rests while being scanned is in the plane of the surface of the blackjack table, allowing the dealer to slide the down-card across the table and onto the scanner without lifting, and potentially exposing, the card's face. The module also removes the noise generated by a casino's heat, dust, cigarette and cigar ashes, and lint from the felt of the blackjack table, during the scanning process.

  • Patent number: 4969648
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for detecting malfunctions in an automatic card shuffler device of the type which randomly extracts cards from two or more storage wells. Detection is accomplished by sensing the failure of a card to be extracted for a storage well and counting the number of successive failures from each storage well. When the number of successive extraction failures associated with any one storage well reaches a predetermined value, an alarm is activated.
