  • Publication number: 20220400995
Abstract: The invention allows an accurate and automated method and system for determining an intrinsic frequency of an EEG band of a person. Intrinsic frequency values (specifically the intrinsic alpha frequency (IAF)) are used to diagnose mental disorders and detect brain anomalies in a person. At present, these estimates are inaccurate for the population that has EEG with low energy in the EEG band. By combining the EEG recording with a stimulus (e.g., light, sound, touch, etc., or a combination), it is possible to determine the IAF, due to the resonant properties of the brain.

  • Publication number: 20210346710
Abstract: Described are methods, and devices for modulating the brain activity of a person by varying pulse interval of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) or Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (tACS). The pulse interval variation is chosen so that the interval frequency distribution of pulses for a treatment session approximates the EEG frequency distribution of the person.

  • Publication number: 20210128917
Abstract: A method and system is provided for administering a Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) or Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (tACS) at a pulse interval of is set equal to the period of a curve that best fits a section of a person's electroencephalogram (EEG) recorded before the pulse train.

  • Publication number: 20110172553
Abstract: A system and method for analyzing electrophysical signals produced by a brain involves comparing a first selected one of the numerical values to control data including one of a self-norm and a population-norm associated with electrophysical activity in a brain region corresponding to a brain region of origin of the electrophysical activity on which the numerical value is based; calculating a standard score for the brain region of origin based on the comparing; and repeating the comparing and calculating operations for a second selected one of the numerical values, the regions of the brain including subcortical regions extending to a brain stem of the brain.

  • Publication number: 20090312663
Abstract: A system, comprises a plurality of neurometric analyzing software modules operating on electroencephalogram (EEG) data, each module performing a defined task with respect to neurometric analysis of the EEG data and a database including normative neurometric data in combination with a server including an authorization module, the authorization module comparing data received from a remote user to determine whether the user is authorized to utilize any of the plurality of analyzing software modules and an analysis module configured to receive input data from a patient and select one of the neurometric analyzing modules based on the input data, wherein the selected one of the neurometric analyzing modules compares the input data to the normative neurometric data to generate an output, the analysis module selecting the one of neurometric analyzing modules from a set of subscribed neurometric analyzing modules.
