  • Patent number: 7363100
Abstract: A system and related methods for configuring and monitoring a spraying application system for installation and use at a site that is remotely located from the spraying system manufacturing site. The system provides a remote access module that provides spraying system operation and parametric information to be monitored at the manufacturing site to determine how the spraying system is operating and whether repair or maintenance should be initiated. Timer circuits are provided for determining time of usage so that repair/replacement alerts can be issued. Safety related parameters may also be monitored as a backup to the primary monitoring performed at the customer's site. The system also provides an extranet or other suitable site available, for example, via the Internet or other communication link, is used to provide an accessible database for historical data and configuration/installation information. A call-in feature is also provided as well as a system query log.

  • Patent number: 6942162
Abstract: A system and related methods for configuring and monitoring a spraying application system for installation and use at a site that is remotely located from the spraying system manufacturing site. The system provides a configuration module that allows a customer or purchaser to configure a system electronically based on the customer's spraying needs. The selected configuration may further be linked to a pricing and inventory database module to allow the customer to order the system components, and obtain price and delivery schedules. In one embodiment, the configuration module is available to the customer via a secure web site over the Internet provided by a server accessed from a computer such as a personal computer at the customer's site. The system also provides a remote access module that provides spraying system operation and parametric information to be monitored at the manufacturing site to determine how the spraying system is operating and whether repair or maintenance should be initiated.

  • Publication number: 20040245673
Abstract: Wear components of a powder coating system are provided with a coded visual element in one aspect of the invention. The coded visual element can provide an indication of the manufacturer or a characteristic of the part. In molded parts, the coded visual element can be implemented as a different color overmolded part wherein a material of one color is overmolded on a base material of another color. The overmolded material can be elastomeric and formed with integral exterior rings to provide a friction fit for the wear component in, for example, a venturi pump or a spray gun while eliminating the need for separate O-rings and the need to machine or form grooves in the exterior of the parts to receive the O-rings. Similarly, integral flanges can be formed to eliminate the need for separate snap rings and grooves to accept the snap rings. Color coding of the overmolded material can also be implemented in a way to provide an indication of wear.

  • Patent number: 6253934
Abstract: A stacking arrangement for at least two controllers in a powder spray system provides for the controllers to be vertically stacked one on top of the other, and an interlock mechanism between each pair of adjacently stacked controllers. In a preferred embodiment, the interlock mechanism comprises a tab and slot arrangement between each pair of adjacent top and bottom covers of stacked controllers. The tab and slot securely hold the stacked controllers together in a stable vertically aligned configuration. Locking plates are also provided to releasably secure the controllers together. The invention also provides a vertically adjustable cover mechanism for the stacked controllers. The cover mechanism encloses various lines that are connected to the controllers in the final assembly. The cover mechanism includes a vertically fixed cover part and an adjustable cover part that telescopically slides over the fixed cover part.
