  • Patent number: 9321112
Abstract: A power saw tool including a housing, a motor, and a reciprocating shaft. A blade clamp assembly is mounted to the reciprocating shaft and adapted for gripping a saw blade. The blade clamp assembly includes a main body defining a channel for engaging the saw blade. A latch arm is pivotally attached to the main body and rotatable about a pivot axis. A locking catch extends from the latch arm and retains the saw blade within the channel. A latch release extends from the latch arm. An actuator is provided to selectively engage the latch release and permit removal of the saw blade from the blade clamp assembly. The power saw tool may include a speed limiter housed within the handle grip to delimit rearward travel of the trigger switch, thereby restricting the speed of the motor. The power saw tool may also include a rotatable shoe assembly.

  • Publication number: 20130298735
Abstract: A ratcheting wrench that includes a ratchet structure having an annular body, a ratchet body, a one-way clutch and a socket wheel. The ratchet body is received in the annular body of the ratchet structure and defines a socket wheel aperture. The one-way clutch couples the ratchet body to the ratchet structure and permits rotation of the ratchet body in the annular body about a first axis in a first rotational direction and inhibits rotation of the ratchet body in the annular body about the first axis in a second, opposite rotational direction. The socket wheel is received in the socket wheel aperture and coupled to the ratchet body for rotation about a second axis that is perpendicular to the first axis, the socket wheel having a plurality of tool members that are spaced circumferentially apart from one another about a first axis.

  • Patent number: 7797844
Abstract: A light line generating assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a light generating unit and a base. The light generating unit produces intersecting light planes to form light lines on a surface. The light generating unit may further include level indicators for manual leveling of the light generating unit. The base is operable to repositionably receive the light generating unit such that the unit may be rotated with respect to the base. The base includes an attachment mechanism operable to connect the base to a supporting surface such as a wall or floor. The attachment mechanism is adjustable, and can be reoriented to permit the selective use of particular coupling devices/methods. Additionally, the light line generating assembly may include an adjustable measuring device (e.g., a protractor) moveably attached to the base.

  • Patent number: 7503124
Abstract: Apparatuses are provided for various tools that incorporate materials with a high coefficient of friction and a low coefficient of friction. The materials with a low coefficient of friction may be mounted on a tool and have a perpendicular movement to the tool. This perpendicular movement may be implemented with a spring mechanism. The materials with a high coefficient of friction may be mounted on the tool in a fixed position. The tool may be pressed against a surface, first engaging the materials with a low coefficient of friction. The tool may freely move across the surface while the materials with a low coefficient of friction maintain contact with the surface. As the tool is continually pressed to the surface, the materials with a high coefficient of friction subsequently make contact with the surface, thereby causing the lateral movement of the tool with respect to the surface to be restricted and stabilized. An example of the tool may be a spirit or carpenter level.
