  • Patent number: 11937037
Abstract: A housing has a bud portion abutting an elongated stem portion. The bud portion is to fit within an ear. The bud portion has a primary sound outlet at its far end that is to be inserted into an outer ear canal, and abuts the stem portion at its near end. A speaker driver is inside the bud portion. Electronic circuitry inside the housing includes a wireless communications interface to receive audio content over-the-air and in response provides an audio signal to the speaker driver. A rechargeable battery as a power source for the electronic circuitry is located inside a cavity of the stem portion. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 5007174
Abstract: A measuring device for topographic sheets includes top and bottom transparent arms that pivot relative to a connecting pivot. A plurality of different distance scales on each arm provide for measuring the distance between two points on a topographic sheet. A protractor on the top arm and pointer marks on the bottom arm provide an indication of the extent of rotation of one arm relative to the other. The device is suitable for measuring distance between points, azimuth, scale and position of true north on an aerial photo. A slidable cross-hair member is used on either arm. One embodiment has a protractor affixed to the top arm and another has the protractor rotatable and removable from the top arm. A third embodiment has the bottom arm offset from the center of the protractor and the bottom arm slidable relative to the top arm.

  • Patent number: 4176065
Abstract: Clusters of elongated magnets are aligned in an end-to-end relationship to provide an elongated magnetic element that is insertable into the central cavity of an annular screen. A circulating stream of liquid, such as hydraulic fluid, is drawn through the screen and over the magnets for removal of ferreous particles or other magnetically attracted contaminants. The magnets of each cluster are arranged in a radial pattern around a common longitudinal axis and are retained in place by spacers located in intervals along the axis. The maximum width of the clusters is greater than the maximum width of the spacers with which the magnets of the clusters are abutted.
