  • Patent number: 10662635
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a water detention chamber by providing a polymer melt, injecting a CO2 blowing agent into the polymer melt, and injecting the polymer melt and CO2 blowing agent blend into a mold cavity. The mold cavity defines an arch-shaped corrugated chamber having upstanding ribs and a flange having an upper surface and a lower surface. The flange has one or more protrusions, preferably elongated members, at the first end of the chamber. The flange also has one or more mating apertures or cavities at the opposite end from the protrusions.

  • Publication number: 20200048889
Abstract: A thermoformed storm water chamber has an exterior surface formed of first layer having an increased reflectance additive and an interior surface formed of a second layer. The increased reflectance additive is a pigment (other than a black pigment) or may be a mineral component. Optionally, a supplemental ultraviolet and/or antioxidant protection additive is also provided in the first layer. The thickness of the first layer is less than the thickness of the second layer, optionally in a 20%/80% of total thickness ratio. The two layers may be made from the same or different HDPE or blends thereof.

  • Patent number: 10544575
Abstract: A water detention chamber, and a system constructed from multiple such chambers, is an arch-shaped corrugated chamber having a flange having an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower surface of the flange has one or more protrusions, preferably elongated members, at the first end of the chamber. The upper surface of the flange has one or more mating apertures or cavities formed therein. Multiple such chambers can be connected to each other in an end-to-end fashion with protrusions at the first ends of a chamber engaged with apertures or cavities at the second ends of a second chamber.

  • Patent number: 10179989
Abstract: An arch-shaped corrugated chamber having corrugation peaks and valleys, with reinforcing ribs provided on the corrugation peaks. The ribs extend upwardly from a chamber base to a rib upper end, and have an arch-shaped cross-section with an outer surface extending outwardly from a corrugation peak and a fin extending inwardly from the corrugation peak, and optionally, a rib line provided on the rib outer surface on the rib arch-shaped cross-section. A channel formed by the inner surface of the rib is sized to receive a corresponding rib of a second chamber so that multiple similar chambers with ribs may be stacked together.

  • Patent number: 8414222
Abstract: A drainage system includes a storm water chamber and riser assembly for gathering and dispensing liquids. The storm water chamber comprises a generally elongated arch shape with an arch top and bottom side walls, thereby defining an enclosure. The riser assembly has two generally parallel base assemblies, which each have an outer wall and an inner wall and a top wall connecting the outer wall and the inner wall. The top wall has a chamber seating area for receiving the base area of the chamber and a retaining element for retaining the base area of a chamber in position in the chamber seating area.
