  • Patent number: 6905169
Abstract: A polyfoam cushion is formed as a triangular right prism 12 inches on a side and 5 inches in height. A thin cover encloses the prism, and defines a zippered pocket in which string fasteners are provided for securing the assembly to a chair. Safety straps encircle the child, and these straps are also stowed in the pocket. The polyfoam is relatively stiff, in order to support a 50 pound child without compressing the polyfoam prism. The use of polyfoam yields a cushion of less than one pound in weight, the child can transport his cushion by holding a handle located on the same side as the pocket.

  • Patent number: 5104606
Abstract: A method of making a measuring and dispensing apparatus molded in one piece for placement in a neck of a flexible wall container is provided. The apparatus has side walls, a base wall, an open top and an upstanding central member which contains a central bore and side or lateral discharge ports for directing the flow of liquid at an angle offset from the axis of the central upstanding member. The method of making the measuring and dispensing apparatus involves injection molding utilizing upper and lower mold halves in conjunction with a center core pin and retractable orifice pins. The center core pin forms the bore present in the upstanding member of the apparatus and the orifice pins form the lateral discharge ports present in the upstanding member.

  • Patent number: 4474312
Abstract: This invention relates to a dispensing unit for dispensing preselected quantities of liquid from a container, such as a squeeze bottle. The dispensing unit includes an outer cup member and an inner cup member, with the inner cup member having radial openings therethrough which are circumferentially spaced and at selected heights so as to determine the level of liquid within the inner cup member. The outer cup member is provided with an axial flow passage which may either be sealed by the inner cup member or which may have one of the openings in the inner cup member aligned therewith. The liquid dispensed into the inner cup member, if the inner cup member is accidentally overfilled, will seek the pre-set level so that the desired measured amount of the liquid which is to be dispensed will be retained within the inner cup member.

  • Patent number: 4473162
Abstract: This invention relates to a child-proof closure assembly for containers. It particularly relates to an interlocking lug on the container neck finish and one of a plurality of detents on the lower skirt portion of a closure member. The locking lug is carried by the tubular neck portion of the neck finish, and is moved to a releasing position by being integrally formed with a radially inwardly reduced thickness portion of the tubular neck portion wherein when the lug is radially inwardly depressed the reduced thickness neck portion will radially deflect to permit movement of the lug to a releasing position.

  • Patent number: 4106673
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring and dispensing liquid is provided by the combination of a reservoir container having a flexible wall and measuring and dispensing means disposed on the reservoir container. The measuring and dispensing means comprises an outer wall member and an inner wall member, the inner wall member being disposed within the outer wall member and spaced therefrom to define liquid passage means between the outer wall member and the inner wall member, and the inner wall member defines a measuring chamber therewithin. Liquid passage means are provided in liquid communication with the liquid passage and the measuring chamber, and conduit means are disposed in the reservoir container and in liquid communication with the liquid passage means.
