    Abstract: A portable, self-contained beverage apparatus includes a container assembly having a known storage capacity for storing a consumable liquid, and a dispensing assembly disposed within the container assembly that dispenses variable, non-zero quantities of additives into the consumable liquid. The dispensing assembly includes multiple apertures structured and arranged to retain vessels containing the additives to be dispensed into the consumable liquid. The beverage apparatus also includes a level sensor disposed within the container assembly that determines a consumable liquid level of the consumable liquid stored in the container assembly. In certain embodiments, one or more positive displacement pumping mechanisms are configured to pump additive liquid from additive containers into a beverage chamber.

    Abstract: A vehicle assembly includes a door and a lock. The lock is configured to selectively maintain the door in a closed position. The lock has a receptor arranged on an exterior side of the door. The vehicle assembly additionally includes a physical engagement interface disposed proximate the receptor. The vehicle assembly also includes a cover which is removably coupled to the physical engagement interface. The cover has an interior surface, an exterior surface, and an aperture extending from the exterior surface through the interior surface. When coupled to the engagement interface, the cover inhibits access to the receptor. The vehicle assembly further includes a deflectable retaining member. The deflectable retaining member is configured to deflect from a first position, retaining the cover to the engagement interface, to a second position, releasing the cover from the engagement interface, in response to insertion of a tool into the aperture.

The handle chassis includes a rigid chassis body with a handle aperture that receives therein a portion of the door handle such that the door handle secures to the chassis body. One or more flexible hooks project from the chassis body. Each flexible hook is configured to insert into a receiving end of the chassis aperture, flex in a first direction while moving over a respective ramped tab towards a securing end, and thereafter flex in a second direction into a respective securing slot to thereby fasten the chassis to the support structure.

The improvement comprises a roller and guide plate assembly pivotably mounted on the deck. The roller and guide plate assembly includes a guide plate operatively coupled to rigid support shafts and upper roller assemblies of the roller pairs, and means for supporting the guide plate a fixed distance above the deck. The guide plate is mounted to at least two shaft support blocks, the rigid support shafts for the upper roller assemblies being mounted to the support blocks above the guide plate, the guide plate including slots through which the biased upper rollers of the upper roller assemblies extend therethrough to cooperate with the corresponding lower driven rollers to convey sheets across the deck.

    Abstract: A mounting apparatus for an optical reader which provides adjustment of the reader along two axes. The apparatus comprises a support member having a slotted section defined by first and second arms projecting from each end of the support member and extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. There is a plate member adjacent and operatively coupled to the support member for clamping the support member to the support shaft, whereby the support member can be adjustably positioned in the first direction. A travelling nut is slidably positioned in the slotted section, and has an aperture in which the optical reader is held. The travelling nut includes a threaded hole engaged by a threaded portion of a thumb screw. The thumb screw extends through apertures in the first and second arms and into the slotted section for adjusting the position of the travelling nut in the second direction.

    Abstract: An apparatus for diverting individual sheets and stacks of sheets from being folded comprises a buckle chute folder having a pair of feed rollers, which form an entrance nip to the buckle chute, and at least one buckle chute. There is a stop member assembly adjacent the buckle chute. The stop member assembly includes a plurality of stop fingers coupled to a solenoid, wherein operation of the solenoid moves the stop fingers from a fold position to a divert position.In one embodiment, the solenoid is a rotary solenoid, with the stop fingers being coupled to the shaft of the rotary solenoid. The stop fingers extend through the buckle chute when the solenoid is de-energized, and the stop fingers pivot out of the chute when the solenoid is energized. The sheets being conveyed into the buckle chute by the feed rollers engage the stop fingers to initiate a fold in the sheets when the stop fingers are in a fold position.

    Abstract: An improvement in a collating machine for stacking sheets of paper fed seriatim from a singulating feeder in the same order as the sheets appear in the singulating feeder. The collating machine includes at least one upper belt and one lower belt for frictionally engaging and transporting the sheets, and ramp structure for lifting a succeeding sheet of paper over and onto a preceding, stopped sheet to form a collation. The improvement comprises a device for stopping each of the sheets, including at least one straight, vertical member against which the leading edge of each sheet abuts while the collation is being accumulated. The ramp structure and the stopping device are the upstream and downstream ends of a stacking section in the collating machine. There is a device, adjacent the stopping device, for transporting the collation from the stacking section.

    Abstract: Automatic level calibration apparatus for transmitting data from a cable television terminal to the headend of a cable television system comprises programmable transmitter apparatus of the terminal, programmable receiving apparatus at the headend and a calibration controller. Responsive to an addressed command from the headend, the programmable transmitter apparatus returns a sequence of levels at a particular calibration frequency. The programmable receiver apparatus determines an indication of the received signal strength of each of the levels of the sequence of levels. The controller determines an optimum level for transmissions from the terminal.
