  • Patent number: 10083459
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to generate a media rank. An example disclosed method includes (a) identifying households in which the product of interest was purchased, (b) calculating consumption factors for respective ones of the households based on a consumption total of the product of interest for the corresponding household and a household weight, (c) selecting first candidate media of interest, (d) calculating a rating value indicative of a relevance of the product of interest to the candidate media of interest based on the mathematical product of the consumption factor and a viewing time for corresponding ones of the households, (e) repeating (c) and (d) for second media, and (f) ranking the first and second media for the product of interest.

  • Patent number: 9777941
Abstract: A damper assembly in a heat recovery ventilator, comprising a rotor, a bearing, drive means, and sealing means. The rotor rotates about an axis of rotation and includes a pair of end walls in spaced-apart relation to define a substantially open periphery. The rotor also includes an air-deflecting member connected between the end walls. The bearing is associated with one of the end walls and is located at the axis of rotation, to support rotation of the rotor. The drive means rotates the rotor about the axis of rotation and positions the air-deflecting member in first and second orientations. The sealing means is in slide contact engagement with the rotor and seals between the rotor and a surrounding damper compartment of the ventilator. The sealing means isolates the exhaust airstream from the supply airstream in the damper compartment while the air-deflecting member is in the first or the second orientation.

  • Patent number: 7008601
Abstract: A silica-polyamine based extraction material removes selected transition metal ions from solution in the presence of iron ions. The silica-polyamine base is a reaction product of a polyamine and a covalently anchored trifunctional hydrocarbylsilyl that yields non-crosslinked amino groups to which pyridine function group is attached. The extraction material is particularly useful in selectively removing copper from low concentration, low pH leach solutions separating copper from ferric iron or chloride ions. The product is a durable, high capacity extraction material that selectively captures copper at high flow rates and releases that copper into highly concentrated solutions.

  • Patent number: 5114738
Abstract: An optical fiber is formed by continuously coating a precursor core filam with a glass-forming coating. The precursor filament is continuously moved from a storage reel through a stationary coating station. The filament is then moved through a stationary glass-forming station and is continuously processed to convert the coating to a glass, with the core either removed from the fiber during glass forming or becoming an integral part of the ultimate fiber during glass forming. The glass fiber is then moved continuously through a glass densification station and is densified in a continuous process. The fiber is thereafter provided with a protective coating as it moves through a stationary coating station and the completed optical fiber is continuously reeled.

  • Patent number: 4884255
Abstract: A game timing apparatus and method for simultaneously timing events for two players is disclosed. The method involves presetting a pair of clocks for respective initial time periods, starting one of the clocks to time a first player's move, simultaneously stopping one clock and starting the other, and incrementing or decrementing each of the clocks by a time interval once for each move or a group of moves. The apparatus includes a pair of clock means, a pair of start switches for starting and stopping the clock means, and a compensation means for incrementing or decrementing each clock means by a time interval.
