  • Patent number: 10837548
Abstract: A method of operating a motor in a hydraulic control system can comprise determining a keyon event. A motor of a pump unit can then be turned in a first direction a first predetermined amount to pump a hydraulic fluid in a first flow direction. The turning of the motor in the first direction can be limited to prevent hydraulic actuation of a downstream device via the pumped hydraulic fluid. The motor can then be turned in a second direction a second predetermined amount to pump the hydraulic fluid an opposite second flow direction. Like restriction on the downstream device can be implemented. Subsequent to turning the motor in the first and second directions, hydraulic fluid is delivered to an actuator of the downstream device.

  • Patent number: 9488285
Abstract: A line pressure valve includes a valve housing having a central cavity and a plurality of inlet and outlet ports, and a spool positioned within the central cavity and axially displaceable therein, the spool having a plurality of radial cutouts that fluidly connect respective inlet and outlet ports based on an axial position of the spool with respect to the valve housing. First and second pumps are fluidly connectable and disconnectable respectively to and from the fluid circuit based on the axial position of the spool via the inlet and outlet ports.

  • Patent number: 9115731
Abstract: Disclosed is an exemplary hydraulic system including a first fluid circuit and a second fluid circuit. The hydraulic system further includes a first pump fluidly connected to the first fluid circuit and fluidly connectable to the second fluid circuit, and a second pump fluidly connectable to the first and second fluid circuits. The hydraulic system includes a first valve that may be arranged in a first position for fluidly disconnecting the first and second pumps from the second fluid circuit, a second position for fluidly connecting the second pump to the second fluid circuit and fluidly disconnecting the first pump from the second fluid circuit, and a third position for fluidly connecting the first and second pumps to the second fluid circuit.

  • Patent number: 5788213
Abstract: A low voltage solenoid operated pressure control valve having a valve body with an adjustable inlet orifice plug in one end with a valve seat formed around the orifice. The orifice communicates with a precision valving bore with a one-piece valve rod having a valving surface on the end for throttling flow over the valve seat. An annular magnetic armature is press fitted on the end of the valve rod extending externally off the valving bore. A nonmagnetic cover is disposed and sealed over the armature to enclose the valving bore. An encapsulated coil is disposed over the cover. A cylindrical pole casing is disposed over the coil and a flanged tubular pole member disposed over the cover and registered on the casing to provide a flux loop about the coil. A retaining ring frictionally engages the cover to retain the assembly. The valving bore is cross ported through the body to provide the flow outlet and the interior of the armature cover is ported to the outlet.

  • Patent number: 5607137
Abstract: A balanced pressure spool valve has a collector groove formed on the periphery of the valving spool adjacent the valving land, with an annular armature attached to the spool. The collector groove has a radially extending bleed hole which communicates with the axially extending pressure equalization bore in the spool. A solenoid coil upon increased current flow electromagnetically acts on the armature to progressively move the spool and the valving land closes outlet ports formed in the valving bore in which the spool is received. The collector groove intersects the outlet ports to provide bleed flow as the ports are closed by the valving land, thus attenuating the effect of any pressure force imbalance created by the increased flow velocity as the outlet ports are closed.
