  • Patent number: 8019674
Abstract: A market map interface displays market information and trader-related information associated with at least two tradable objects. In one embodiment, the at least two graphical interfaces may be linked, and a user may define one or more adjustment parameters to be used to adjust the view of information being displayed via the linked graphical interfaces. For instance, a user may initiate repositioning of one of the linked graphical interfaces, thus, effectively, causing other linked graphical interfaces to be repositioned according to the defined adjustment parameters.

  • Publication number: 20110166984
Abstract: System, method, and program products offer flexibility to the rather rigid way of trading in an electronic trading system. Orders for a tradeable object may typically get matched according to set terms and/or conditions at an electronic exchange. A trader may log onto the electronic exchange to trade the tradeable object, and may choose to display and trade the tradeable object according to a different set of terms and/or conditions. As such, the market data sent to the trader from the exchange is converted to a format according to the trader's selection, so that it may be presented to the trader in this format. Transaction messages sent to the exchange from the trader are converted to the format readable by the matching process, so that it can process the messages. Other features and advantages are described herein.

  • Publication number: 20030236737
Abstract: An automated trader facilitates automatic trading of tradeable objects over one or more electronic exchanges. According to one embodiment, an automated trader utilizes a user programmable interface. The user programmable interface allows the user to simply develop a program that is based on a set of specifications and relationships given by the user and input into a profile, or if desired, input directly into the programmable interface referred to as direct entry. For each tradeable object, a profile may be selected, and then an automated trader can execute the program to perform a series of actions according to that selected profile and directed order entry, if any. An automated trader may also be used at a communication level to create an intelligent interface between third-party trading-related applications and exchanges.

  • Patent number: 5533690
Abstract: Magnetic tape is wound onto a roll at high speeds. Each strand of tape wound onto the roll is precisely superimposed over the previously wound strand by alignment devices including a pre-wrap alignment roller, a packwheel, and a post-winding final alignment guide roller. The final alignment guide roller locates the edges of the strand being wound in positions which are coplanar with the edges of the previously wound strands on the outside of the roll. The tape is aligned and locked in place on the roll by a combination of air removal and alignment and re-alignment steps during air removal.

  • Patent number: 5375791
Abstract: A rotary chuck for winding magnetic tape aligns the winding hub in both the axial and radial directions relative to the axis of winding rotation. This allows higher winding speeds to be used and produces finished rolls of improved quality. Alignment occurs upon application of air pressure to the rotary chuck. The rotary chucks can be placed side-by-side on a single mandrel for winding multiple strands simultaneously. Winding hubs can be easily slipped on and off the rotary chucks to improve winding productivity.

  • Patent number: 4923137
Abstract: A tape reel hub includes an inner ring, an outer ring and angled ribs connecting the two rings. The ribs deflect upon compression of the outer ring to prevent the transmission of this compression to the inner ring.
