Abstract: A detachable top side mount for mounting a telescope on a rifle has a bracket provided with holes arranged for adjustably connecting the bracket to the side of a receiver of a rifle. Provided on a portion of the bracket associated with the top of the rifle is a base arranged for removably mounting conventional scope top mount rings on the bracket. The base is provided with a plurality of pairs of transverse slots selectively receiving keys on the mount rings for affording eye-relief to a shooter.
