    Abstract: A lamp includes a sealed envelope with an integrally formed base so as to form a single unit. An illuminating filament is enclosed within the sealed envelope and leads connected to the filament pass through a stem contained within the envelope. An electrical cord is passed through the base and attached to the leads. An embodiment of the lamp further includes a loop filament, and a magnet positioned in proximity to the envelope.
