A hot water source is operably coupled with the mixing chamber and is configured to selectively provide a predetermined quantity of hot water to the mixing chamber and thereby form a mixture comprising the first beverage material and the predetermined quantity of hot water. A brew basket is positioned below the mixing chamber and includes an outlet at a bottom of the brew basket. The brew basket is configured to house a second brewing material and is configured to receive the mixture from the aperture of the mixing chamber to interact with the second brewing material. A receptacle is positioned below the brew basket and is configured to receive a brewed beverage from the outlet of the brew basket.

The dispenser comprises a canister body, a replaceable and disposable cartridge having flexible membrane seal received within the canister body, a pouring spout cap attached to an open end of the canister body, the pouring spout cap movable between an open position and a closed position wherein the pouring spout cap seals the open end of the canister body, a pouring spout, and a pierce pin depending from a lower surface of the pouring spout cap providing communication between the replaceable and disposable cartridge and the pouring spout via a discharge chamber. The replaceable and disposable cartridge is prefilled with a predetermined quantity of the dry, pourable material and is fabricated and sealed with biodegradable materials.

    Abstract: A nestable two-handled pitcher has two pouring spouts spaced 180° away from one of the two handles. The container, typically of cylindrical or frustoconical shape, has a bottom, a peripheral wall and an upper lip. The container has features to facilitate de-nesting. The handles are spaced about the container by about 30°-180° apart along the peripheral wall or upper lip. The pitcher can be passed from one person holding one handle with one hand to another person who can grab the second handle with one hand whereupon the first person releases his grip upon the first handle.
