  • Publication number: 20240092468
Abstract: A transportable outboard motor has a midsection and a tiller extending forwardly from the midsection. The tiller is pivotable about a lateral tilt axis into a downward tilt position in which the tiller is oriented transversely to the lateral and longitudinal directions. The tiller in the downward tilt position is configured to permit manual carrying of the transportable outboard motor.

  • Publication number: 20240092470
Abstract: A transportable outboard motor has a tiller which is pivotable about a lateral tilt axis into a plurality of tilt positions and also pivotable about an axial yaw axis into a plurality of yaw positions. The tiller is pivotable about the axial yaw axis into a straight-ahead position, into a port yaw position which is oriented towards the port side relative to the straight-ahead position, and into a starboard yaw position which is oriented towards the starboard side relative to the straight-ahead position. The tiller is pivotable downwardly about the lateral tilt axis from the port yaw position, and downwardly about the lateral tilt axis from the starboard yaw position. Pivoting the tiller into the plurality of yaw positions creates space for a user to manually grasp a swivel tube and thereby lift the transportable outboard motor from a rear-laydown position.

  • Patent number: 4605081
Abstract: A self-operating automatic control system and process is provided to automatically measure the gross weight, load, and length of trucks, such as at refineries, truck terminals, and depots. A central processing unit compares the truck's weight and length with state highway regulations and activates a laser printer or another printer to print a bill of lading when the measured weight is within legal limits. The system and process can also have various safety and weight indicators as well as a regulated control dispenser coupled to the central processing unit to automatically and remotely dispense authorized legal amounts of the load of material, such as gasoline or oil, into the trucks.

  • Patent number: 4480407
Abstract: A pet door comprises a frame hingedly supporting a flap undersized relative to the opening therefor in the frame; the resulting gaps therebetween are weatherproofed by sealing means in part constituted by co-extensive plastics magnet strips on confronting edges of the flap and frame. One magnet strip at least is mounted for movement in a direction across the gap into and out of face-to-face sealing contact with the other magnet strip, respectively as the flap enters and leaves its closed position; the movement is responsible for jam-free closing and opening.
