Abstract: A keyboard-display assembly is mounted includes a tray for holding a keyboard that is moveably mounted within a rack. The display assembly is mounted to the tray and includes a first display support arm and second display support arm that support a display. The display assembly is moveable between a storage position and a viewing position where, in the storage position, the display is in a generally horizontal position with the screen face of the display facing downward and positioned forward of the keyboard within the tray. In the viewing position, the display assembly rotated into a generally vertical position.

Abstract: A cable management assembly includes a first arm assembly pivotally connected with a second arm assembly. Each arm assembly includes a slide lock which may tool-lessly couple to a slide lock receptacle attached to a rack slide chassis member or a rack slide stationary member, allowing the cable management assembly to be chassis independent and reversible. The arm assemblies include basket trays with movable covers that facilitate the storage of cabling.

Abstract: An information handling system status indicator assembly includes a power jack, cabling and an indicator. The status indicator assembly connects with a status port located at the rear of an information handling system component and operates to provide a visible status indication of the component on the components cable management assembly and visible from a position behind the rack.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system and method for installing support structures within rack systems for supporting components. In one aspect, a rack system is disclosed that includes a rack with a plurality of rails that each have a standard interface portion. The system also includes an arm assembly with an arm, a front rail interface, and a rear rail interface. The front rail interface may be disposed at one end of the arm and includes an interface portion formed to tool-lessly and releasably secure the end of the arm to an interface portion of a rack rail.

Abstract: A computer assembly comprises a base frame which is generally U-shaped in cross-section and a box-shaped primary unit console which is fixedly mounted on the base frame. The secondary unit comprises a secondary unit console which is slidably mounted on the base frame of the primary unit about a pair of ball bearing slides. A plurality of power supplies are slidably disposed within the primary unit console, each power supply comprising a housing, power supply electronics disposed within the housing and a handle assembly pivotally mounted on the housing. A power switch assembly is mounted on the base frame of the primary unit and comprises a T-shaped metal pawl coupled to a power knob. In use, the metal pawl can be rotated by the power knob between a first position in which the metal pawl electrically and mechanically engages a locking block formed on the secondary unit console and a second position in which the metal pawl electrically and mechanically disengages from the locking block.

Abstract: A heatsink assembly for removing at least some of the heat produced by an electronic component during use includes a heatsink, a heatpipe mounted on the heatsink and a plurality of thin, elongated fins mounted on the heatpipe. The heatsink is an elongated, generally rectangularly-shaped body and comprises a bottom surface, a top surface and a central, cylindrical channel formed in the top surface. A pair of clip recesses are formed in the top surface of the heatsink on opposite sides of the central channel. A first set of thin, elongated fins and a second set of thin, elongated fins are also formed in the top surface of the heatsink and serve to remove at least some of the heat transferred onto the heatsink. The heatpipe comprises an evaporator section and a condenser section. The evaporator section of the heatpipe is disposed tightly within the central channel of the heatsink so as to maximize the transfer of heat from the heatsink to the heatpipe.
