  • Publication number: 20240079929
Abstract: A fluid moving apparatus includes an electric motor having a rotor and a stator and a propeller. The rotor rotates relative to the stator on an axis to generate a rotational output. The rotational output is provided to the propeller to power the marine propulsion apparatus. The stator includes one or more coils configured to power rotation of the rotor. The one or more coils extend circumferentially around and can be coaxial on the axis. A portion of a housing of the motor extends into the aquatic environment to facilitate heat dissipation.

  • Patent number: 7343868
Abstract: A seeding machine includes at least one seed metering system and at least one seed placement system. Each seed placement system is in communication with a corresponding seed metering system. Each seed placement system includes a housing having a seed slide, and a wheel at least partly disposed within the housing. The wheel has a circumferential periphery with a plurality of contiguous disc joint surfaces. The periphery is positioned adjacent to at least part of the seed slide. The invention comprises, in another form thereof, a method of placing seeds with a seeding machine in a trench formed in soil. Seeds are received at a predetermined rate at a seed placement system. The seed placement system includes a seed slide, and a wheel having a conferential periphery position closely adjacent to at least part of the seed slide. The seeds are engaged at the predetermined rate against the wheel periphery. The seeds are carried past a closely adjacent area of the seed slide using the wheel periphery.

  • Patent number: 4886458
Abstract: This invention provides an inexpensive but accurate mechanical analog computer device for providing information based on the relative positions of two or more indicia bearing members at least one of which is mounted to another of said members for non-rotational orbital movement. More particularly a preferred embodiment of the invention is directed to a visual-mechanical device which simulates ADF and/or VOR navigation such that students and experienced pilots can develop skills at home, and also use the device as a reference tool in actual flight. The device incorporates a disc assembly which revolves or orbits non-rotationally about a beacon representation, driven by a lever which also rotates about the Beacon. The discs and lever have representations of the dials, pointers and windows necessary for unambiguous simulation of ADF and/or VOR navigation without interchange of parts.
