    Abstract: A new and distinct Chamaecyparis obtusa plant of unknown parentage is provided that was discovered as a chance seedling while growing in a cultivated area. The new variety readily can be distinguished from other plants of the species in view of its dense compact and rounded growth habit which displays attractive green foliage that is yellow to golden in coloration at the tips when grown in full sun. The plant well resists sun and winter burning and displays good winter hardiness. The plant is well suited for consistently providing attractive ornamentation in the landscape.
