  • Publication number: 20240094889
Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for automatically generating an application overflow tool that is dynamically updated and arranged to provide improved access to popular or recently used applications. These systems and methods improve existing technologies by generating an overflow panel different from a task bar, such that the overflow panel provides access to most recently used applications that are not on the task bar. As such, ease of access to applications is improved to increase user efficiency. These systems also improve the way computers operate by leveraging existing GUI layouts to reduce computing resource consumption, such as memory, network latency, I/O, and the like, that would otherwise be required improve access to applications.

  • Patent number: 6162546
Abstract: The present invention relates to a modified crosslinkable resin and a composite coating composition or system employing the resin. More particularly, the resin comprises an ethylenically unsaturated monomer or copolymer and para-hydroxybenzoic acid or substituted para-hydroxybenzoic acid, the reaction product thereof subsequently being reacted with a crosslinking agent gives rise to a composition including an ether linkage with a carbon-carbon site ortho to the phenolic hydroxy group.

  • Patent number: 5637778
Abstract: Disclosed is a one-step method for synthesis of methyl tertiary butyl ether, diisopropyl ether and isopropyl ether from crude streams containing acetone, methanol and t-butyl alcohol which comprises reacting an acetone-rich feed over a bifunctional catalyst comprising 5-45% by weight of a catalyst consisting essentially of a hydrogenation catalyst selected from the group consisting of one or more metals selected from the group consisting of IB, VIB or VIII of the Periodic Table and a heteropoly acid on a 55%-95% of the total weight of the catalyst of a support comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of:a. a metal phosphate;b. 5 to 95% by weight metal phosphate supported on 95 to 5 wt % Group III or IV oxide; andc. a large pore silicoaluminophosphate.

  • Patent number: 5583266
Abstract: A two-step integrated process for the generation of diisopropyl ether from a crude by-product acetone stream which comprises:a) Hydrogenating said crude acetone over a supported, hydrogenation catalyst to give an isopropanol-rich effluent;b) passing said isopropanol-rich intermediate directly to a second reactor, andc) subject said IPA to dehydration conditions in the presence of hydrogen and a strong acid zeolite catalyst from the group consisting of .beta.-zeolite, optionally modified with one or more metals from Groups IB, VIB, VIIB and VIII of the Periodic Table, and a dealuminized Y-zeolite.

  • Patent number: 5550300
Abstract: Disclosed is an integrated process for the generation of a mixture of ethers, such as diisopropyl ether, methyl tertiary butyl ether, and/or isopropyl tertiary butyl ether, from a crude by-product acetone stream composed of acetone, tertiary butyl alcohol and methanol by passing such a stream, in the presence of hydrogen, over a catalyst system characterized by having both a hydrogenation activity gradient along the reactor in one direction and an etherification activity gradient in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 5391286
Abstract: A process for catalytic hydrodewaxing hydrocarbon feedstocks is disclosed. The catalyst comprises a surface-modified crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite, such as ZSM-5 type zeolite in a matrix or binder, such as alumina, having a specified metals content. The process is especially useful for dewaxing lubricating oil basestocks.

  • Patent number: 5332490
Abstract: A process for hydrodewaxing a hydrocarbon feedstock boiling above about 350.degree. F. by contacting the feedstock and hydrogen at a hydrogen pressure of from about 300 to about 2000 psig at a temperature of 400.degree. to 900.degree. F. and at a space velocity of about 0.1 to about 10.0 LHSV with a catalyst comprising about 0.1 to about 23 wt. % of an oxide of a Group VIII metal, such as nickel, or an oxide of a Group VIB metal, such as molybdenum; supported on a porous alumina support containing about 50 to about 85 wt. % of a crystalline alumino-silicate zeolite of the ZSM-5 type based on the weight of the support.
