  • Publication number: 20240099453
Abstract: A table extension assembly is disclosed herein. The table extension assembly is for use with a table assembly having a first table section having a first upper surface and a cavity situated below the upper surface, the cavity having an internal surface, and an opening to the cavity disposed proximate a first side surface of the first table section. The table extension assembly includes a second table section having a second upper surface. The table extension assembly further includes an engagement feature extending from a side surface of the second table section. The engagement feature is configured to fit within the cavity, to engage the internal surface and to support the second table section adjacent the first table section such that the second upper surface is flush and contiguous with the first upper surface when the engagement feature is disposed within the cavity and engaged with the internal surface.

  • Patent number: 10029778
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to an aircraft having an interior door with a compressible header. Accordingly to non-limiting embodiments, a slideable door panel includes an opening in a top portion thereof to receive a compressible header configured to reside in the opening of the slideable door panel. The compressible header includes a biasing mechanism configured to upwardly bias the compressible header against the headliner when closed. The compressible header is also configured to allow lateral movement of the compressible header within the opening. The compressibility of the compressible header and lateral movement resist the formation of gaps between the compressible header and the headliner during flight.

  • Patent number: 5979590
Abstract: A sound bar assembly 12 for converting electronic signals into sound within a vehicle can be located at the rear edge 18 of the roof 16 of a sport utility vehicle 10. The sound bar is made of a lower member 20 and an upper member 22 that preferably are made of polymeric materials capable of forming a sealed relationship with each other without the need for gasketing material. The sound bar has a wedge shape and speakers 32 and 34 are mounted in each end at a forward angle so they direct sound forwardly into the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The sound bar can be coordinated with the interior decor of the vehicle, utilizes unused space of the vehicle, projects sounds more directly at the vehicle occupants, and enables tuning to achieve improved sound quality.
