Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of hibiscus plant named ‘DUP-CMIP’, characterized by compact growth with internode distance reduced with respect to standard exotic varieties, glossy, dark green leaves of reduced size relative to standard exotic varieties, strongly upright growth, and a large flower characterized by a medium-sized dark red eye zone which extends about one quarter of the petal length, margined against a zone of brownish-pink which grades into a pinkish brown zone which grades into a brilliant orange-red zone which abruptly bleeds into a brilliant yellow rim extending to the petal margin. For some periods of the year of the year, particularly in the warmer months, the orange-red zone can bear brilliant yellow spots which are mostly concentrated toward the outer edge of the orange-red zone. The spots may be fine, or they may be large. They may merge together radially to form radial splashes, particularly along the radial venation of the bloom.

Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of hibiscus plant named ‘DUP-SWTP’, characterized by glossy, dark green leaves, a strongly upright habit and extremely compact growth. The flower is characterized by a medium-sized, glossy red eye zone extending roughly a third of the way to the petal edge, sharply margined against a bright orange-yellow body zone which fully extends to the petal edge. The body zone is suffused with a bright orange, the suffusion being at a maximum at approximately half way to the petal edge, and at a minimum just outside the eye zone and at the petal edge.

Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of hibiscus plant named ‘DUP-GFTH’, characterized by extremely compact growth, glossy, dark green leaves of reduced size relative to standard exotic hibiscus varieties, strongly upright growth, and large flowers having a glossy dark rust red eye which extends about 30 percent of the petal length, sharply margined against a zone of purplish-pink which extends to roughly the midpoint of the petal and grades into a pinkish-beige zone which grades to a bright straw yellow edge having highlights of cantaloupe orange.

Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of hibiscus plant named ‘DUP-CHIP’, characterized by glossy, dark green leaves which are smaller than those of standard exotic hibiscus varieties, growth that is moderately upright but very compact, and large flowers characterized by a large dark red eye zone which extends approximately 50 percent of the petal length. The eye is sharply margined against a narrow zone of red wash, which is sharply margined against a light brown zone having subtle orange highlights and a savoyed, seersucker texture. The zone and the texture extend to the petal margin. The outer edge of the eye zone, as well as the red wash zone, is interrupted by radial venation, giving both zones an evenly-toothed appearance. Nevertheless, the eye is clearly defined with a definite margin. The petal margins are heavily curled, with the overlapping edge (viewed from the front of the flower) characterized by a crimp.
