Abstract: One embodiment provides a method, including: connecting a USB device to a secure device; provisioning, at the secure device, the USB device, wherein the provisioning comprises encrypting, using a private key, a hash value associated with a device descriptor associated with the USB device into a product field of the device descriptor: introducing the provisioned peripheral device into a client device; determining, using a processor of the client device, that the USB device is an authorized USB device, wherein the determining comprises: decrypting, using a public key that corresponds to the private key, the hash value; producing, by running a hash function on the device descriptor minus the hash value, a new hash value; and identifying that the hash value is equivalent to the new hash value; and enabling the USB device to gain access to a system of the client device. Abstract: For enhancing multiple monitor arrangements, a method receives monitor data for a plurality of monitors. The monitor data for each monitor includes a physical dimension, a monitor resolution, a monitor position, and a scale factor. The method receives a transition preference specifying one of a physical parameter preference and a logical parameter preference for each monitor-to-monitor boundary of the plurality of monitors. The method calculates a display transition between adjacent monitors based on the monitor data and the transition preference.

Abstract: For updating the password of a credential with a matching username, methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed. One method includes storing a set of credentials, each credential in the set comprising a username and password. The method includes detecting an update to a first credential of the set of credentials, the first credential comprising a first username and a first stored password. Here, the update to the first credential indicates a new password to be associated with the first username. The method includes identifying a set of candidate credentials, each candidate credential having a username that matches the first username and a password that matches the stored password and updating the set of candidate credentials to comprise the new password.
