Abstract: The present disclosure provides a combination bulk container and pallet having an assembled configuration and a collapsed configuration. In one embodiment, the combination bulk container and pallet includes: a pallet including a bottom tray, a material supporter, and a plurality of support legs positioned between the bottom tray and the material supporter; a collapsible sidewall structure having a collapsed configuration when the combination bulk container and pallet is in the collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration when the combination bulk container and pallet is in the assembled configuration; and a cover. When the combination bulk container and pallet is in the collapsed configuration, the cover covers the sidewall structure (which is in the collapsed configuration). When the combination bulk container and pallet is in the assembled configuration, the cover covers a material holding area defined by the sidewall structure (which is in the expanded configuration) and the material supporter.

Abstract: A system for packaging a flat panel product includes a dispensing device for dispensing a length of inner protective packaging material, a folding table for wrapping the inner protective packaging material around the product and folding an outer protective packaging material around the product, and a binding device for binding the outer packaging material, inner packaging material, and product together, suspending the product relative to at least one of the walls of the sidewall and supporting the product laterally. A data entry device provides data related to the length of inner protective packaging material required, and this data is fed to a controller, which controls the dispensing device to provide an appropriate length of material. The data entry device can also provide shipping information, fed to a printer for printing a shipping label.
