  • Patent number: 10953974
Abstract: A lateral marine thruster is disclosed for mounting to an outboard motor. The lateral marine thruster has a bi-directional thruster with a central body portion and at least one propeller, the central body portion housing at least one high torque electric motor, which is rotatably coupled to at least one propeller, the rotational axis of the high torque electric motor and the propeller being oriented perpendicular to the centerline of the outboard motor. The bi-directional thruster is secured to the anti-cavitation plate or a similar mounting location of the outboard motor to provide lateral thrust for ease of docking or mooring a vessel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 14, 2019
Date of Patent: March 23, 2021
    Assignee: Sideshift Inc.
Inventors: Robert John Griffin, Réal Mark Houle

  • Patent number: 5912187
Abstract: A method of fabricating an integrated circuit device is described in which fluorine ions are implanted into the patterned photoresist and the exposed polysilicon layer prior to etching the polysilicon. The ion implantation minimizes the chemical reaction between the photoresist and etchant, thereby significantly reducing the formation of polysilicon etch delta, and also significantly reducing etch delta variation due to pattern density variations.
