  • Publication number: 20260139865
Abstract: Systems and methods may include a processor to receive time-series presence data from at least one presence sensing device associated with an area, including instances of presence detected in the area, and times associated with the instances. The processor may determine an occupancy metric in each time slot of the area based on the instances of presence and the times. The processor may generate an occupancy schedule for the area based on: the occupancy metric in each time slot and a history of occupancy metrics. The occupancy schedule represents a prediction of a level of occupancy of the area during each subsequent time slot in subsequent weeks. The processor determines a comfort system actuator in the area and communicates the occupancy schedule to the comfort system actuator to cause the comfort system actuator to actuate based on the prediction of the level of occupancy of the area.

  • Publication number: 20250327598
Abstract: Method to operate a hot water storage device (10) comprising a tank (11), a heating unit (15), at least one temperature sensor (19, 20), and a controller (21) to control the heating unit (15). The method comprises the following steps: Determine from a water temperature measurement signal provided by the at least one temperature sensor (19, 20) a water usage profile, said water usage profile providing for defined time intervals of a day and/or for defined days of a week a nominal temperature and a nominal volume of the heated water to be stored within the tank. Operate the heating unit (15) in such a manner that for each defined time interval of a day and/or for each defined day of a week the actual temperature and the actual volume of the heated water stored withing the tank corresponds automatically to the respective nominal value of the water usage profile.

  • Publication number: 20250110453
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods that provide a novel framework for personalized location management and control via integrated large language model (LLM) capabilities within the location's control system(s). The framework operates to predict certain events within and/or around a location, and maximize the capabilities of an implemented control system to leverage such predictions via mechanisms to understand the current and/or future needs of a user(s) within such location. Such mechanisms can involve the implementation of AI, ML and/or LLMs, such that predicted events as well as currently detected data related to current and/or ongoing events can be fed to the disclosed framework, whereby adaptive, personalized and/or customized responses can be output.

  • Publication number: 20240240831
Abstract: A method may measure a respective temperature at a respective remote location or at the respective water pipe with the respective temperature sensor. A method may determine from the respective temperature measured by the respective temperature sensor a water usage event at the respective remote location. A method may determine during a determined water usage event a temperature profile from the temperature measured by the respective temperature sensor. A method may determine from the temperature profile determined during the water usage event a risk factor of microbiological growth at the respective remote location or of microbiological growth within the respective water pipe. A method may execute a disinfection cycle for the respective remote location or the respective water pipe if the respective risk factor of microbiological growth is above a respective risk threshold.

  • Patent number: 9767676
Abstract: A security system including devices generating persistent data, a local control system (LCS) including a microprocessor and non-volatile memory and receiving persistent data from the devices, and a server remote from the LCS. The remote server is in communication with the LCS microprocessor which periodically transmits logical portions of persistent data (each including a timestamp) to the remote server where it is saved. The microprocessor also periodically saves the persistent data portions in LCS non-volatile memory less frequently than the persistent data portions are periodically saved in the remote data storage, and saves the timestamp in the local data storage for each persistent data portion saved only at the remote server. When rebooting the LCS, the microprocessor retrieves from the remote data storage only the persistent data portions having timestamps subsequent to the timestamp saved in the local data control system non-volatile memory.

  • Patent number: 9557719
Abstract: A door access control system associates a unique passive identifier with each one of a plurality of doors for which controlled access is desired. Each of the identifiers can be attached to a location adjacent to each respective door. A smart phone with a predetermined scanning application can scan or read a respective identifier of a door for which access is desired. A representation of the door identifier along with an identifier of the smart phone can be transmitted to an access control unit. A data base of the access control unit can be interrogated to determine if that smart phone identifier is authorized to open the designated door. If authorized, then an access command can be transmitted to a local access control module that can release a locking mechanism for the respective door.
