  • Publication number: 20170194225
Abstract: A hermetically sealed electronic device and method of fabrication are provided. A base layer of a wafer is created using a substrate formed from ultra-thin glass or ceramic using panel or roll to roll processing. One or more layers are bonded to the base layer. The wafer is singulated into a plurality of electronic devices having a top surface and a plurality of sides. A hermetic sealant is applied to each electronic device to completely encase the top surface and the sides while bonding to the base layer. At least one of the layers is a metallization layer formed by metal deposition. Full metallization may be applied over the entire wafer and a pattern subsequently transferred to the full metallization by one of laser and chemical etching. The electronic device may further include at least one electronic component attached to one of the layers and encased by the hermetic sealant.

  • Patent number: 9690920
Abstract: A secure database includes a catalog of information about one or more identity providers (IdPs) that are trusted by a service provider (SP) to authenticate users on the SP's behalf. The catalog securely stores one or more IdP configurations. An entry in the database stores information associated with the trusted IdP including artifacts to identify the IdP, artifacts used by the IdP for cryptographic operations, and a specification of one or more website(s) serviced by the trusted identity provider. Upon receipt by the SP of identity information representing a user that has authenticated to an IdP, information in the catalog of information is used to determine whether the IdP is trusted to authenticate the user on the service provider's behalf. The determination verifies that the SP uses the IdP and that a binding between an IdP identifier and at least one IdP cryptographic artifact is valid.

  • Publication number: 20170180117
Abstract: A system and method for providing secure and anonymous communication between a plurality of individuals relying on the cryptographic method of the one-time pad (OTP) is described. Unique, randomly generated blocks of data are generated to serve as one-time pads, and each is given a unique identification that serves as a system address. One-time pads are anonymously distributed to communicants with a copy of each being retained by a service provider that operates a One-Time Pad Hub. Messages may be exchanged among holders of one-time pads through the Hub using the identifier addresses.

  • Publication number: 20170167462
Abstract: A starter battery pack with a start button included as part of the starter battery pack is shown and described. The starter battery pack includes a start button that, when the starter battery pack is received within a receptacle of outdoor power equipment, such as a lawn tractor, allows the starter battery pack to provide power to a starting circuit of the power equipment. The battery pack is selectively rechargeable and preferably is a type of battery, such as lithium ion, that can be repeatedly discharged and recharged without affecting battery life. When the starter battery pack is received within the receptacle, activation of the start button provides current and voltage from the starter battery pack to an electric starter motor, which initiates operation of the internal combustion engine.

  • Publication number: 20170170927
Abstract: A system includes a network interface port. The network interface port may support a network interface port mode implementing one or more physical lanes. The network interface port mode may support one or more logical lanes transported over the physical lanes. The network interface port mode may implement transfer using a specified baud rate and signaling scheme. The logical architecture of the transmission and reception stack may be selected based on the operational parameters of the network interface port mode.

  • Publication number: 20170165424
Abstract: A trigger operated syringe (100) for intramammary injection of antibiotics has a fluid containing syringe cartridge (203) activated by a plunger (206) which is inserted into the syringe cartridge (203A) and expels fluid when the trigger (205) is pulled. A syringe cartridge holding mechanism (223) holds the syringe cartridge in place until the trigger (205) is released and the plunger (206) retracted. Single syringe cartridge (203) and multiple syringe cartridge (204) versions are disclosed. The plunger moves in a direction which is effectively perpendicular to the direction of movement of the trigger, allowing for ease of injection to a cow's teats, and ejection of the spent cartridges.

  • Patent number: 9677904
Abstract: The generation of travel time data is disclosed in which coordinates are received for a starting location (1901). A maximum travel time is received (1903) and processed graph data is read that includes nodes representing pre-filtered map features and edges representing travel times between nodes. A temporary graph is built (1907) of selected nodes that can be reached via selected edges within the maximum travel time. Candidate destinations are received (1908) and the travel time to these candidate destinations is tested (1909) with reference to the temporary graph.
