  • Patent number: 10539473
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring an environment history of a component using an indicator array that includes energy exposure indicator pads direct-printed onto a surface of the component in a geometric pattern. Each of the plurality of energy exposure indicator pads in the geometric pattern may include a mechanochromic material, a first thermochromic indicator responsive within a first temperature range, a second thermochromic indicator responsive within a second temperature range, and a third thermochromic indicator responsive within a third temperature range, provided that the first, second, and third temperature ranges are distinct from one another.

  • Publication number: 20190043406
Abstract: Technology for a display source device is described. The display source device can receive a frame start indication from a display panel at a start of a frame. The display source device can align a timing of the display source device to a timing of the display panel based on the frame start indication received from the display panel to obtain frame-level synchronization between the display source device and the display panel. The display source device can send one or more frame update regions to the display panel in accordance with the timing of the display source device that is aligned to the timing of the display panel.

  • Patent number: 10194279
Abstract: Location may be determined based on electrical outlets in a home or business. One or more of the electrical outlets may wirelessly communicate with a mobile device, thus updating a database with the location of the mobile device. As the mobile device moves within the home or business, a current location of the mobile device may be continually logged by passing one of the electrical outlets. Rules and operations may then be performed, based on the current location.

  • Publication number: 20180368269
Abstract: A method and apparatus for manufacturing a composite structure having integrated electronics. A flexible electronic substrate is heated with the flexible electronic substrate positioned relative to a composite laminate. A vacuum is applied to cause the flexible electronic substrate to conform to and bond to the composite laminate, thereby forming an electronic composite panel.

  • Publication number: 20180254850
Abstract: An architecture is provided that can scale content resolution in order to mitigate errors in a provisioned service of a communication network, such as a wireless service or a femtocell service that integrates with DSL or other broadband carriers. The architecture can identify fault conditions relating to e.g., bandwidth oversubscription or symbolization integrity. Based upon such identification, the architecture can alter encoding format codecs of certain types of content in order to reduce their resolution/quality, thereby mitigating bandwidth oversubscription fault conditions or freeing up space (without necessarily increasing bandwidth) to insert additional FEC code.

  • Publication number: 20180231944
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, decoding first and second encoded audio portions extracted from a digitally encoded data stream to obtain first and second decoded audio portions. The digitally encoded data stream includes an encoded video portion, multiple encoded audio portions including the first and second audio portions and a reference marker. The first and second decoded audio portions are synchronized to a decoded video portion based on the reference marker. The first decoded audio portion is forwarded to equipment of a first user and the second decoded audio portion is forwarded to equipment of a second user. Presentations of the first decoded audio portion by the equipment of the first user and the second decoded audio portion by the equipment of the second user are synchronized to a presentation of the decoded video portion. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10042877
Abstract: Information is aggregated and made available to users. A system monitors over the internet a first set of external information sources for a first user based on instructions from a first user profile that specifies information to aggregate for the first user. The system detects, based on the monitoring, new data at one of the first set of information sources. The system obtains the new data at the one of the first set of information sources, independent of preferences of the one of the first set of information sources. The system updates aggregated information for the first user with the new data from the one of the first set of information sources. The updated aggregated information for the first user is made available to the first user.

  • Patent number: 9983970
Abstract: Utilities (e.g., methods, systems, apparatuses, etc.) for use in automatically identifying improper physical connections in storage networks and recommending particular actions (e.g., changes to existing physical connections) that seek to ensure symmetric and redundant connections from a data host through all associated storage enclosures and reduce the likelihood that single failures prevent access to storage system data.

  • Patent number: 9767221
Abstract: Delivering targeted content includes collecting, via at least one tangible processor, user activity data for users during a specified time period. questions asked by the users during the specified time period are extracted from the user activity data, via the at least one tangible processor, and stored in user profiles for the users. The user profiles are clustered, via the at least one tangible processor, based on the questions asked. Targeted content is delivered, via the at least one tangible processor, to a subset of the users based on the clustering.

  • Publication number: 20170225966
Abstract: A portable, collapsible still includes an upper reservoir for coolant water, an intermediate condensing chamber, and a lower reservoir of an aqueous solution, for example, seawater. A condenser coil is in fluid communication with the headspace in the lower reservoir above its fluid level, with the coil extending into the condenser chamber and to an external fluid port. A reflector is positioned below the lower reservoir, to reflect sunlight onto the lower reservoir to heat it. As the water vapor pressure in the lower reservoir increases as a result of the solar heating, the water vapor enters the coil, which is bathed in the lower temperature coolant water from the upper reservoir, causing the water vapor to condense inside the coil and thus be available for drinking.
