Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and compositions for stabilizing proteins. The invention provides compositions comprising at least one tardigrade disordered protein (TDP) and at least one heterologous polypeptide and/or peptide of interest. Further provided are methods for stabilizing proteins and for producing organisms and cells having increased tolerance to desiccation and/or drought.

Abstract: A hinge cover comprising a mounting plate, a cup, a wrap, and a bushing. In this version, the mounting plate comprises a vertical portion, a horizontal portion, a right side member and a left side member. The cup comprises a base member, a perimeter member, a right attachment member and a left attachment member. The right attachment member and left attachment member may be configured to allow the cup to slide vertically during use. The wrap comprises a right edge and a left edge. In this embodiment, the right edge is attached to the right side member and the right support member, and the left edge is attached to the left side member and the left support member. The cup is configured to slide vertically relative to the wrap during use. The bushing configured to engage the cup comprising a lower portion and an upper lip.

Abstract: The present invention provides a mechanism for mounting a door comprising a dual-hinge or “double-knuckle” spine/hinge system which allows a traffic door to open a full 180 degrees in both directions from a closed position. The mechanism allows the door to be flush with a wall that is adjacent to the door resulting in minimal obstruction of hallways and/or other traffic areas into which the door opens, thereby significantly increasing the efficient use of limited space. The present invention also provides a mechanism for cushioning a door against sudden impacts and reducing the stresses from loads that are commonly placed on the door and jamb due to frequent opening and closing.

Abstract: A modular strip door system includes a plurality of strips, a bracket and a strip mounting member that may be assembled and placed adjacent to a door or opening. The strip mounting member is configured to retain the plurality of strips and be releasably mounted onto the bracket. The strip mounting member includes an upper channel and a lower channel configured to receive the plurality of strips. The strip mounting member further includes at least one bracket mounting aperture configured to receive at least one mounting protuberance projecting from the inner face of the bracket. In one alternate embodiment the system comprises a plurality of strips configured to be releasably mounted onto a bracket. In yet another alternate embodiment, the system comprises a strip mounting member configured to be mounted to a support surface and retain a plurality of strips.
