Publication number: 20220359037Abstract: Differentiating benign cutaneous lesions from melanoma is an imprecise and subjective endeavor. The use of micro-RNAs has been investigated, but results have not been consistent across studies and clinical applications are lacking. The invention provides new micro-RNA signatures for differentiating benign lesions from melanoma. The micro-RNA signatures are robust, being stable across detection platforms, diverse sample types, and patient populations. The diagnostic methods based on these signatures control for variations in lesion composition and sample diversity, and permit cross-platform comparisons. The micro-RNA signatures and methods are amenable to the use of samples from convenient non-invasive tape strip biopsy.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 25, 2019Publication date: November 10, 2022Applicant: THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIAInventors: Robert Judson-Torres, Maria Wei

Patent number: 11194104Abstract: An apparatus includes first and second components. A track supports one of the components for movement toward the other of the components. A first connector is mounted on the first component. The first connector retains an end portion of a first fiber optic cable, and has a first alignment portion. A second connector retains an end portion of a second fiber optic cable, and has a second alignment portion. The second alignment portion guides the second fiber optic cable radially into coaxial alignment with the first fiber optic cable upon movement of the first alignment portion against the second alignment portion. A floating mount device supports the second connector on the second component for guided movement radially relative to the second component upon movement of the first alignment portion against the second alignment portion.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2019Date of Patent: December 7, 2021Assignee: Eaton Intelligent Power LimitedInventors: Daniel Edward Hrncir, Robert Judson Burns, David Aaron Metcalf

Patent number: 10997287Abstract: An update change request that is made against attributes of a directory object causes automatically collection of customized information for an initiator of the request. A correlation identifier for the change request is generated. The changes to the attributes are processed to update the directory object and the customized information is updated to an extension attribute for the directory object. A unique audit event is raised for each changed attribute including the extension attribute and each audit event includes the correlation identifier.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2017Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: Micro Focus Software Inc.Inventor: Paul Robert Judson
