  • Publication number: 20200096166
Abstract: An emergency lighting system. The emergency lighting system includes a housing. The housing is formed by a plurality of walls. The housing also forms an interior volume, in which the internal components are placed. A power storage unit is placed in the interior volume. The power storage unit supplies power to a number of electrical slots. The electrical slots can then provide power to an object that is brought into operable connection with them. A light is also powered by the power storage unit.

  • Publication number: 20070185584
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for digit joint arthroplasty. The present invention preferably allows for the treatment of disorders of digit joints generally and interphalageal joints more specifically. The present invention provides implants for the replacement of digit joint cartilage. The implants of the present invention preferably include a head and a shaft. The head may be shaped similarly to the cartilage that is being replaced. The shaft is adapted so as to be able to be fit into, for example, the phalanx. In certain preferred embodiments, the shaft is threaded so that it may gain purchase to the phalangeal cortex. The articulating portion of the implant preferably mimics the articular surface of the native phalanx and thereby places minimal motion restriction on the patient. The implants and methods of the present invention have particular utility with the DIP joint of the hand.

  • Patent number: 4509920
Abstract: A support device has a rod-like support member and a base for maintaining the support member in upright position. A guide device extends along the length of the support member, which has a free top end at its farthest distance from the base. Each of a plurality of body members has an axial bore formed therethrough whereby each of the body members is removably slidably mounted on the support member. Each of the body members has a directing device for cooperating with the guide device in a manner whereby each of the body members rotates about the axis of the support member in a first direction of rotation when it slides on the support member toward the base and in a second opposite direction of rotation, when it slides on the support member away from the base thereby providing variable spiral motion of the body members. A top member has an axial bore formed therein whereby the top member is removably slidably mounted on the support member.
