Abstract: A bird feeder perch assembly comprising a flange and a perch rod with at least one pivot member located at a distal end; the pivot members extending axially along an axis in a direction generally perpendicular to the perch rod; where the flange has an attachment that allow it to be attached to the side wall of a bird feeder body; the flange comprising an underside portion that in use is in direct contact with said side wall of a bird feeder body; the flange having at least one recess in the underside and an aperture therethrough located adjacent the recess or between the recesses; the aperture and recess being configured to accept the perch member; a pivot member being housed within the recess and the perch rod extending through the slot, such that in use the perch member may pivot, from a retracted position in which the perch is alongside the feeder body to an extended position in which the perch projects outwardly from the body.

Abstract: A bird feeder port, especially suited for dispensing fine sized birdseed and configured for insertion through an exterior wall of a bird feeder; the port comprising a feed distributor with an open front portion accessible to a bird and in addition having at least an upper portion and a lower portion; said lower portion having an aperture in the lowermost floor portion through which bird seed is in use presented and can be eaten by a feeding bird. The aperture preferably comprises a slot and has a width of between 5 and 13 mm.

Abstract: A bird feeder hanger assembly having a pivot member adapted to be pivotably attached to the main body of a bird feeder; the pivot member having engaging means comprising a slot or the like; a hanger member also having engaging means configured to co-operate with the first member engaging means such that when connecting the assembly to the main body of a bird feeder the hanger member can first be pushed into the slot of the pivot member and then pulled along an axis of the slot so that the engaging means of the hanger member and the engaging means of the pivot member mutually engage.

Abstract: Bird feeding apparatus comprising a main body that provides access to bird food and a base member having a plurality of shedding faces which are inclined so that a bed of food particles in the main body settling under gravity is shed towards feeding ports located proximal the periphery of the base; where each shedding face has at least two mutually inclined substantially flat surfaces that together form a valley the floor of which descends as it approaches the periphery of the base.

Abstract: A bird feeding accessory comprising a collet, having a collar with a threaded cap, the collar housing a resilient sleeve; wherein the threaded cap may be tightened around a variety of resilient sleeves, each sleeve being adapted to grip a rod of varying size by use of a slit in the sleeve and co-operating tapered sections in the collar and sleeve.
