The holster has a holster body with a pair of opposing wall portions defining a cavity. A retention mechanism of the system has a blocking portion movable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position. The blocking member at least inhibits removal of the handgun and accessory if the handgun and accessory are urged rearwardly before a thumb receiving portion is depressed. The blocking portion is on a spring member that is deflected by an elongate exteriorly extending sliding member that has a cam surface that selectively deflects the spring member from the blocking position.

The holster body has an attachment area for a holster clip to the holster body to secure the holster body to an article worn or carried by a user. The holster body is constructed of a thermoplastic and is constructed to friction-grip the weapon within the cavity. Each of the sidewalls having repeating structure for structural strengthening. When the weapon is absent from the cavity and a compressing force is applied against one or both of the closed sides of the holster body, the holster body is constructed to compress from side-to-side by at least 30% without fracturing, the open top being constructed to automatically return to an original uncompressed shape when the compressing force is removed such that the weapon can be received into the cavity for re-holstering.

An identification reader reads identification information stored on the objects. A controller causes an area on the display surface corresponding to one of the objects to be illuminated based on the identification information and indicates a location to which the illuminated object is to be moved. In one aspect of the invention, the display surface includes an area adapted for positioning a receiver for the objects. The display surface provides an indication of a position in the receiver at which the one of the objects is to be placed.

Abstract: A method for operating a data processing system to detect the presence of an event in a data stream includes an ordered sequence of digital values, xi, for i=1 to Nd is disclosed. The method includes causing the data processing system to determine a base value for a statistical parameter of the data digital values within a training window. Then for each xi in a region of interest in the ordered sequence of digital values, the data processing system determines a sliding value for the statistical parameter corresponding to that xi by measuring the statistical parameter of the xi within a sliding window containing the xi and which is different for each xi. The data processing system compares the sliding value to the base value for each xi in the region of interest to determine if the xi is part of an event.

Abstract: A holster for receiving an integrally suppressed handgun having a trigger guard and a complementary interlocking feature located forward of a forward-most end of the trigger guard. The holster comprising a holster body having a forward end, a rearward end, and a holster wall extending therebetween. The holster wall defining a cavity extending along a handgun receiving and withdrawal axis. The holster including a retention mechanism comprising a lever pivotally supported by the wall of the holster body with the lever being pivotable about a pivot axis. A blocking member of the lever being dimensioned and adapted to be received in the complementary interlocking feature of the handgun. The lever being positioned so that the blocking member extends through an aperture and into the forward portion of the cavity at least when the lever is in the blocking position.

Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying gene- and/or protein-related data with respect to chromosome maps at locations identifying relevant positioning of the genes with which the gene- and/or protein related data are associated. Multiple experiments may be plotted onto the display adjacent one or more chromosome maps. Automatic extraction of genomic location, based on accession numbers or other unique identifiers and cross connection with expression data is provided. Statistical assessments of correlations between expression and genome localization may be performed. Zooming capabilities, thumbnail/fullview toggling, browsability and linked data may be included as features of the visualization systems described.
