  • Publication number: 20240039269
Abstract: A protection device for monitoring an energy supply grid has a measured value acquisition device for acquiring measured values which indicate an electrical state of the energy supply grid, and an evaluation device which is connected to the measured value acquisition device and is configured to carry out a plurality of protection functions and, as a result, to make a decision as to whether the energy supply grid is in a permissible or impermissible operating state. Here, the evaluation device be designed entirely in the form of a single neural network with an input neuron layer that receives the measured values and/or values derived therefrom, intermediate neuron layers, and an output neuron layer which outputs a classification of operating states of the energy supply grid. The neural network for classifying the operating states is trained to carry out all protection functions together.

  • Patent number: 11289890
Abstract: A method operates an electrical network, in particular a power supply network or power distribution network, in which protective apparatuses are connected to a multiplicity of measurement positions. The protective apparatuses monitor an assigned network section of the electrical network and are respectively parameterized with at least one apparatus-side parameter value which influences the mode of operation of the respective protective apparatus. Accordingly, the protective apparatuses are remotely readable and are connected to a superordinate central device, and the central device reads out the apparatus-side parameter values from the protective apparatuses.

  • Patent number: 8217778
Abstract: Brake light circuits for use with engine brakes for both positive switch and negative switch brake light circuits. The brake light circuits for the engine brakes do not function until the engine brake solenoids are energized. This ensures that only true brake indications are indicated. In the case of the positive switch, the circuit uses a relay in parallel with the existing brake light switch to active the brake lights whenever the engine brake solenoids are energized. In the case of the negative switch circuit, the original brake pedal switch is connected to ground. It is used to operate a brake light relay that sends positive power to the brake lights. A second relay is used to close the ground connection to activate the original engine brake relay. In both cases, diodes are used to prevent back feed through the bake solenoids or other components.

  • Publication number: 20080086075
Abstract: Vascular access devices and methods of use may utilize a single access port which is attached to a vessel wall and allows for controlled insertion of small to large sized instruments and catheters. The access port may be secured via securement mechanisms deployed from within the vessel lumen. Also, one or more cutting blades may be utilized to create and/or define the individual flaps in the access port and/or underlying tissue wall at the time of port deployment and securement. Such an access port allows a user to access and/or re-access the same artery and/or vein of patients utilizing various diameter catheters and instruments while maintaining hemostasis.

  • Publication number: 20060208584
Abstract: An oil-cooled 50 DN stator terminal insulator comprising an insulating base member with an insulating bushing extending from a top surface of the base member for insulating one of multiple stator lead terminals, and associated parts kit. The insulator includes a central aperture for receiving the terminal such that the insulator and the terminal are independently movable with respect to the remaining terminals of the stator in order to facilitate assembly of the stator and a rectifier housing having a plurality of openings extending from an internal surface to an external surface. The ability of the terminal with the insulator to move independent of the remaining terminals provides the stator with resistance to vibrations.
