Abstract: The invention relates to a method for removing polyfluorinated organic compounds from water by means of an adsorbent and to the regeneration of the latter. According to the invention, at least one zeolite is used as an adsorbent, which is brought into contact with the water and is then regenerated by wet-chemical oxidation, wherein the oxidation is carried out by means of UV irradiation and/or at a pH in the range from pH 2.5-7.5.

A brewing chamber is coupled to the device to introduce heated water into the brewing chamber. The brewing chamber has a lateral opening and a bottom side having an outlet. A positioning device positions at the lateral opening of the brewing chamber a capsule containing an ingredient for brewing the beverage. A drive device is arranged to move the brewing chamber relative to the capsule. Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for entropy balanced population measurement. Entropy balancing is a statistical technique for preprocessing data to achieve covariate balance. Weighting coefficients may be dynamically adjusted to satisfy balance conditions or constraints to adjust for inequalities in representation, thereby improving covariate moments. Using entropy balancing and linear regression analysis with panel content exposure and results data provides a mechanism to estimate the effects of multiple exposure vectors simultaneously, including instances where panelists are exposed to a vector multiple times. Data may be obfuscated or anonymized for preprocessing via a double-encrypted intersection-based extraction mechanism, allowing both measurement systems and panel providers to retain confidential information.

By applying high-voltage AC pulses with respect to ground to dielectrically shielded electrodes arranged next to both planar gas jets, direct discharges are obtained across the hand on the palmar aspect thereof and on the dorsal aspect thereof.

Abstract: A shower caddy includes a 4-way diverter for attachment to a shower arm and to divert water received from the shower arm to a circuit of pipes within the shower caddy. The shower caddy further includes a heating circuit within a basin. The basin holds bathing fluids, and the heating circuit transfers heat from water traveling via the circuit of pipes to the bathing fluids within the basin. The shower caddy further includes an additive infuser attached to the circuit of pipes that infuses an additive into the water flowing through the circuit of pipes when the additive infuser is activated by a user. The circuit of pipes is further connected to a showerhead that outputs the water received from the shower arm following it being used for the heating circuit and/or having an additive infused therein.

The brewing chamber is moved together with the feed nozzle from a brewing and filling position, where the capsule is positioned at the brewing chamber and the feed nozzle is above a passage for filling the vessel, to a rinsing position where the capsule is removed from the brewing chamber and the nozzle is above a guide element for directing water for disposal. In the rinsing position, the brewing chamber is rinsed with rinse water which is disposed via the nozzle and the guide element.

A user content item history including a list identifying a previously acquired content item may be received. A joint probability may be determined for each content item based on the user content item history and the content item metadata, including the probability that the content item will be acquired by the user after being recommended to the user and that a future objective will be fulfilled after the content item is acquired by the user.
