  • Publication number: 20090051164
Abstract: In a connection element for connecting media lines, for instance hoses (9,10) to a tube piece, in particular a tube, at least a first plug-shaped connection member (3) having at least two hose connections (1,2) is provided, whose plug part includes axially offset, radial openings (6,7) each connected with a hose connection (1,2). At least one socket-shaped connection member (26) is provided for receiving the plug-shaped connection member (3) in a manner rotational about the plug-in axis (8), the wall of which socket-shaped connection member likewise includes radial openings (14,15) at axial distances corresponding with the axial distances of the radial openings (6,7) of the plug-shaped connection member (3), wherein between adjacent radial openings (6,7,14,15) as well as to the axial end of the socket-shaped and/or plug-shaped connection member (3,26) the wall of the socket-shaped and the plug-shaped connection members (3, 26) is provided with annular or disc-shaped seals (18) sealing relative to each other.

  • Publication number: 20090032021
Abstract: In a jet endoscope (1) for respiration and interventions in surgical applications, including connections for gas lines to which different respiratory gases with different pulsation frequencies can be connected, at least four connections are provided for at least two channels (11,12) arranged in a relatively offset manner in the axial direction of the jet endoscope (1) while opening at acute angles with respect to the axis (8) for the injection of gases with different pulsation frequencies, and at least two further channels (13,14) provided distally to the respiratory channels (11,12) for a separate gas analysis and a separate pressure measurement, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20080127975
Abstract: In a method for preparing gas mixtures for lung ventilators, a plurality of gases which are different from one another are supplied to a mixing chamber via switching valves, wherein the switching valves are opened and closed in a clocked manner and the pressure in the mixing chamber is monitored. The gases which are different from one another are each guided via a plurality of switching valves arranged in parallel, the switching valves being controlled in such a manner that a number of switching valves assigned to gases each different from one another, corresponding to a coarse mixing ratio is opened and closed synchronously.
