Patent number: 11971239Abstract: A blaster for shooting projectiles that includes a housing that defines a housing interior, and a variable velocity barrel assembly positioned in the housing interior. The variable velocity barrel assembly includes a barrel that defines a barrel axis and a barrel interior. The barrel includes an exit opening at a distal end thereof. At least a first opening communicates the barrel interior with an exterior of the barrel. The first opening is defined through a side wall of the barrel. A slider member that includes a cylindrical portion that surrounds the barrel is movable axially along the barrel between a maximum velocity position where the cylindrical portion covers the first opening and a minimum velocity position where the slider member does not cover the first opening.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2023Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: GEL BLASTER, INC.Inventors: Eric Davis, Colin Guinn, Robert Kovacs

Publication number: 20240117835Abstract: A retention apparatus, system and method is useful for attaching items, panels or other devices to a rail formed in longitudinal lengths and configured with a cross-sectional profile having multiple cooperating structures between the rail and a channel nut. Self-aligning, mating structures include a recess formed between a tooth and shelf on an interior first channel portion of the rail and a flange of the channel nut with concurrent mating of an anchor latch of the rail and a hook flange on the channel nut. Latching of the channel nut is accomplished initially by compression of the biasing element as the channel nut is inserted and then, upon release, biasing element-induced movement of the channel nut into a latching position. Grounding spikes on the biasing element form electrical contact points between the rail, the clamp and the frame of the solar panel or other device.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Applicant: PMC Industries, Inc.Inventors: Tamas KOVACS, Robert MERCIER

Patent number: 11955932Abstract: Bias circuits and methods for silicon-based amplifier architectures that are tolerant of supply and bias voltage variations, bias current variations, and transistor stack height, and compensate for poor output resistance characteristics. Embodiments include power amplifiers and low-noise amplifiers that utilize a cascode reference circuit to bias the final stages of a cascode amplifier under the control of a closed loop bias control circuit. The closed loop bias control circuit ensures that the current in the cascode reference circuit is approximately equal to a selected multiple of a known current value by adjusting the gate bias voltage to the final stage of the cascode amplifier. The final current through the cascode amplifier is a multiple of the current in the cascode reference circuit, based on a device scaling factor representing the relative sizes of the transistor devices in the cascode amplifier and in the cascode reference circuit.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2023Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: pSemi CorporationInventors: Jonathan James Klaren, David Kovac, Eric S. Publication number: 20230324157Abstract: An ammunition bucket may be provided for preparation of ammunition for toy blasters having greater ease of use with less mess. The bucket may be collapsible having sides that collapse in an accordion style, and the bucket may include a carrying handle. The lid may be sealed and resistant to splashing and leakage. A lower recessed port area may be provided at the lowest portion of the bucket body. This port may be a three-way drain and strain port. The lower recessed port area may include a dispensing valve with a primary control notch and a flap that provides rate control for the valve. The dispensing valve also may include a secondary control notch that limits an opening of the dispensing valve to prevent ammunition from leaving the bucket.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2022Publication date: October 12, 2023Inventors: Eric Alan Davis, Robert Kovacs, Colin Guinn

Publication number: 20230221091Abstract: An illuminated feedneck may be utilized in a toy blaster, laser tag gun, airsoft or other toy gun, and the like to illuminate ammunition, such as Gellets, for use in non-daylight hours or indoors. A feedneck may be illuminated through ultraviolet light that may be powered through batteries and/or one or more other forms of power. The illuminated feedneck may charge ammunition through a series of specialty UVA (˜400 nM) wavelength light emitting diodes (LEDs) that safely become illuminated with a long-lasting and bright green glow. The ammunition may be infused to create a glow-in-the dark tracer effect as they are powered and pass through the illuminated feedneck.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2023Publication date: July 13, 2023Inventors: Eric Alan Davis, Robert Kovacs, Colin Guinn
