  • Publication number: 20190387752
Abstract: A gas burner appliance for recycling wasted heat from a heating process and for distributing heat evenly to a vessel or product. A housing is provided and a plate for directly collecting wasted heat is supported by the housing. A burner arm is also supported by the housing and disposed above the plate for receiving and combusting premixed fuel for uniformly distributing heat to the plate. A motor is supported by the housing and a drive mechanism connects the motor to the burner arm. A thermal electric generator generates electricity directly from heat of the plate and provides at least some of the generated electricity to the motor.

  • Publication number: 20170333618
Abstract: A portable syringe sanitizer kit has a longitudinal housing having a sanitization area, a compartment for retaining at least one source of electricity, and mechanisms for retaining a needle, barrel, and plunger of a syringe. A source of germicidal radiation, such as a UV-C light, is disposed in the housing, the source of germicidal radiation being electrically connected to a source of electricity, such as one or more batteries. A switch operatively connected to the source of electricity and to the source of germicidal radiation can initiate activation of the radiation. A syringe holder tube and a mechanism for retaining a syringe plunger are also provided. The source of germicidal radiation generates light having a wavelength of between approximately 200 nm and 280 nm. The housing is mounted in an eyeglass case. A timing device de-energizes the source of radiation after a predetermined interval of time.

  • Publication number: 20070083414
Abstract: Network architecture for image scanning, providing a scalable, low latency arrangement for multiplexed scanning. A system and method for inspecting baggage having a plurality of scanners for providing images of the baggage and a plurality of workstations for receiving the images. There is workflow software for managing the workflow messages exchanged between the scanners and the workflow management system, and exchanged between the workstations and the workflow management system. The workflow software enables the images to be communicated directly from the scanners to the workstations over an image communications path and the workflow software enables the workflow messages to be communicated to the workflow management system over a workflow management communications channel and there is a results analyzer executing in the workstations and analyzing the images to provide inspection results of the baggage.

  • Patent number: 6895705
Abstract: A display device is provided comprising a transparent panel having a light receiving edge and a face. A plurality of laser etched grooves are formed in the face of the panel such that the grooves increase in depth as the grooves extend away from the light receiving edge of the panel. The grooves include a bottom surface having a contour that matches a contour of the face of the panel. The grooves also include a plurality of diffusive sections and a plurality of internally reflective sections.
