  • Publication number: 20120087482
Abstract: Once an emergency button is activated, a signal would go directly to an emergency call center. A worker at the call center will identify via a GPS program, the exact location of the call, and immediately search out the nearest 911 operator. The call center operator will instantly connect to the 911 operator and stay of the call. The emergency call center will become a back up for the 911 system by recording in both speech and text. The user is not required to dial 911, and may use voice activation, which removes the physical input action required to call for assistance and location information while under attack or other distress. In addition, images of the emergency situation are automatically submitted to a security-monitoring agency.

  • Publication number: 20100088226
Abstract: The invention comprises a process, design, and conceptualization of a global philanthropic fundraising effort, centered around a special day of recognition for each individual citizen in the USA and worldwide. The funds derived from pledges are to be used for charitable giving for such needs as Global AIDS and World Hunger. The invention enables a website and toll-free phone system that allows an individual to highlight the recognition of a person's special celebration with a nominal gift of giving back to the less fortunate and those in the world who are in most desperate need by making a monetary pledge to a charitable organization. In return, the pledge person or designated recipient will receive a personalized E-GRAM or recorded telephone call from an important, nationally or internationally known, celebrity.

  • Patent number: 4893684
Abstract: A well bore annulus wiper plug is disclosed. The wiper plug has a central body and inner and outer elastomeric ribs. The ribs are generally in the shape of truncated cones. To operate the device, it is inserted in the annular space between well casing and a drill string. Fresh drilling mud is circulated downwardly through the annular space above the wiper plug. The wiper plug scrapes both the outside of the drill pipe and the inside of the casing free of a previous well fluid.

  • Patent number: 4549473
Abstract: A chimney cap which includes a roof panel, hanger members mounted on the underside of the roof panel and extending downwardly from the roof panel, and an anchor member pivotally mounted on each of the hanger members. The anchor member includes a horizontal flange in flatwise relation with a horizontal flange of an associated hanger member, an upright shank extending downwardly from the horizontal flange member of the anchor, and a plurality of fluke arms extending upwardly and outwardly of the shank. A perforated cage member is mounted under the roof panel and inside the hanger members and engageable by the horizontal flanges of the hanger members to resist upward bending of the horizontal flanges of the hanger members as fluke arms engage the interior of a chimney liner to hold the chimney cap on a chimney.

  • Patent number: 4145098
Abstract: An article of furnishing has a plurality of upstanding sheet panels and a substantially horizontal connecting panel removably connected to the upstanding panels. An upright adjacent each end of each upstanding panel is connected thereto by a sliding joint including at least one headed member on each upstanding panel for cooperation with a T-shaped opening in the upright. Advantageously, a substantially horizontal bottom panel is removably secured to bottom flanges on the upstanding panels by sliding fittings. A shelf having a pair of legs pivoted thereto for folding may be mounted on the bottom panel.

  • Patent number: 4091933
Abstract: A hanging file support frame has a pair of channels each having a web portion and opposed hook portions for supporting file folders and has a pair of transverse members. Four corner fittings each have a substantially horizontal opening receiving one end of a transverse member. Each corner fitting also has a bead engaged by one of the hook portions of a channel and an integral resilient latch engaged by the other hook portion of said channel for releasably locking the channels to the fittings. Each corner fitting is supported by a leg. Advantageously, the channels have a plurality of lines of weakness and the corner fittings have opposed grooves for the reception of the hook portions of a channel to support a portion of the channel to be broken off at a line of weakness to adjust the length of the channel.

  • Patent number: 4030610
Abstract: A hanging file frame comprises a pair of elongate support rails adapted for hanging suspension file folders therefrom, a pair of transverse interconnecting members, four support legs and four resilient corner fittings for easily joining the rails, interconnecting members and legs into a rigid, parallelepiped file supporting structure wherein the support rails are maintained in mutually spaced, parallel and elevated relationship. The corner fittings, constructed of a strong plastic such as nylon or Delrin, may be molded or extruded. The transverse interconnecting members and the legs are formed of elongate cylindrical rods, end portions of which have radial projections for releasably retaining the members and legs in recesses formed in the corner fittings. The support rails are constructed of metal bars having a rectangular cross section.

  • Patent number: 3981249
Abstract: A load bearing two-way pallet fabricated as a permanent piece of hardware from tubular members integrally joined with transverse load bars embraced and enclosed by support rails. A common tube cross section is employed throughout with intermediate notching that reinforces complimentary engagement of one notched member with the other, and with end notching that reinforces the terminal ends of the tube members that are engaged with an embracing tube member. A feature is the method of manufacture wherein a rectangular and planar ladder-form is initially fabricated and the members thereof interjoined, followed by bending reformation of the rail members thereof so as to establish upwardly open transversely disposed channels for the reception of lifting forks, and openings beneath raised load bearing bars so as to receive the longitudinal insertion of lifting forks.
