  • Patent number: 11953143
Abstract: A mounting pad system for securing equipment, such as an HVAC outdoor unit or a standby generator, is provided in the form of a lightweight fillable pad member having a plurality of receivers located on a top surface of the pad member. The receivers are associated with attachment points located on the equipment and are used to secure the equipment to the pad. The pad member contains a filling port on its top surface and is configured as a molded hollow shell containing a gelling material which, when mixed with water, provides support to reduce deflection of the pad member caused by the equipment secured to the pad, prevents damage to the pad that would otherwise be caused by the expansion of internal contents upon freezing and prevents leakage of internal contents of the fillable pad in the event of an unintended breach in the hollow shell. The pad member is provided with at least one through-hole that acts as a supporting structure.

  • Patent number: 9928118
Abstract: Monitoring resource allocation requests to computer resources shared between a plurality of computers includes detecting an allocation request by an application for a first set of the plurality of computer resources and assigning the application to a group, wherein each member of the group comprises a respective application having an associated allocation request for an associated set of the plurality of computer resources. Determining that the first set of the plurality of computer resources cannot be allocated by the application, and determining that the first application generates a function call instructing other members of the group, if any, to request allocation of their associated set of the plurality of computer resources results in incrementing a counter value corresponding to the group. A message is sent when the counter value exceeds a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 9306894
Abstract: Managing computer resource allocation includes detecting, by one computer amongst a plurality of computers, generation of an allocation request, wherein the allocation request requests exclusive access, by the one computer, to a computer resource shared between the plurality of computers; determining a period of time that has elapsed since detection of the generation of the allocation request; determining that a delay has occurred when the period of time has exceeded a predetermined threshold; and then, transmitting, by the one computer, a delay message based on the delay to each of the plurality of computers.

  • Patent number: 9235402
Abstract: Dynamic release control is performed by identifying a plurality of software application instances installed on a mainframe system, identifying a compatibility level for each software application instance, designating a common execution level based upon a lowest one of the identified compatibility levels, configuring each software application instance to conform to the common execution level, receiving a software update indication that at least one software application instance has been updated and performing a compatibility level switch across the plurality of software application instances after receiving the software update indication if a lowest one of the compatibility levels is different from the common execution level by adjusting the common execution level based upon the lowest one of the compatibility levels and by reconfiguring each software application instance to operate in a mode that constrains the corresponding software application instance to conform to the adjusted common execution level.
