The feeding step of the strip is determined by the position of a stop crosspiece (8) provided with a pair of end blocks (13) having respective substantially hemispherical protrusions (18) suitable for engaging with a positive coupling in corresponding substantially hemispherical recesses (19) in the longitudinal sliding guides (1).
