    Abstract: A bearing hanger assembly for supporting a shaft is disclosed which includes a support plate having front and rear surfaces and a shaft aperture, a damper plate having front and rear surfaces and a shaft aperture, and a damper element disposed between the front surface of the support plate and the rear surface of the damper plate. The damper element has a bearing aperture axially aligned with the shaft apertures of the support plate and damper plate, and is adapted to translate relative to the damper plate and support plate to accommodate radial movement of a shaft supported in the bearing aperture.
