  • Patent number: 8671037
Abstract: A system comprises a memory storing a plurality of usage values. A usage value may be based at least on usage of a utility resource measured by a utility meter having a meter identifier. The memory may store a plurality of service point identifiers and a plurality of account identifiers associated with one or more utility accounts. A service point identifier represents a physical location of at least one utility meter. Each service point identifier may be stored in association with one or more usage values. The system may comprise a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. In response to a request comprising a particular service point identifier, the processor may retrieve one or more usage values from the memory based at least on the particular service point identifier in the request. • Patent number: 5947546
Abstract: An apparatus for attaching a soft top to a motor vehicle includes a retainer member for engaging a channel located in a structural element attached to the motor vehicle. In one application, the structural element is a removable door frame having a molded-in channel which opens downwardly and is disposed above a door opening. The retainer member includes a first flange adapted to fixedly attach to a lateral edge of the top section of the soft top. The retainer member further includes a second flange for engaging the molded-in channel in an interference fit. The first flange laterally extends beyond the door of the vehicle to thereby shingle the door from condensation and rain which may gather on the soft top. In an alternative embodiment, the retainer member is configured to form a trough for carrying the condensation and rain rearward away from the door.

  • Patent number: 5876365
Abstract: One embodiment is an adhesive bandage with an opening in the middle in which the wound is exposed after the bandage is applied to the skin. A removable cap is fastened on the bandage with hook-and-loop material to cover the opening and thereby protect the wound. Another embodiment has a base panel with a transverse strip of hook-and-loop fastener material at one edge, and strips of hook-and-loop fastener material extending from the other end to wrap around a wounded body part and connect to the transverse strip and forms an opening which frames the wound. A removable cap is fastened over the opening with hook-and-loop-fastener material fastened to the extending strips.

  • Patent number: 5859615
Abstract: An omnidirectional isotropic antenna employing a tubular waveguide 12, a dielectric insert 18 which includes a lens 20 and a depending stem 22. The lens 20 is an elliptoid generated by rotating an elliptoid form about the longitudinal axis 42 of the tubular waveguide 12 with its foci 40 aligned with the longitudinal axis 42 and its major axis 38 lying in a zone of rotation 43 intersecting the horizontal plane 44 that is normal to the axis 42 and containing the foci 40. The stem 22 has integrally formed a polarizing element 36, and an impedance to matching element 21. There is provided a passband filter 50 and a modified tubular waveguide 60 that provides node differences for the RF signals.

  • Patent number: 3934671
Abstract: A seat belt buckle means which provides a connection for one or more opto-electric circuits (control circuits employing light for control of electrical circuits) as an incident to the establishing of the mechanical supporting connection of the buckle means, the respective portions of the opto-electrical connection being respectively operatively aligned with the buckle member components which establish the mechanical supporting connection, thus providing that the opto-electrical connectors are operatively engageable with one another whenever but only whenever the mechanically-acting buckle member components are operatively engaged, and thus correspondingly assuring that establishment and dis-establishment of the opto-electrical circuitry will be coincident with the establishment and dis-establishment of the mechanical supporting connection of the buckle means, in an arrangement in which the thief-resistant starter switch is provided as a part carried on one of the seat buckle components.
