  • Publication number: 20260207843
Abstract: A syringe pump including a plunger driver head that selectively urges against a syringe. A drive arm includes an elongate plunger tube. The drive arm is coupled to the plunger driver head and movement of the elongate plunger tube corresponds with movement of the plunger of the syringe along the first central longitudinal axis. A potentiometer generates a signal that is proportional to an insertion distance of the rod inside the elongate plunger tube. The syringe pump records the signal from the potentiometer at the time delivery of infusate from by the syringe pump is paused and again at the time delivery is resumed. The syringe pump detects information about the syringe, accesses an electronic system to determine information about the syringe allowing the syringe pump to calculate the volume of a manual bolus from the syringe while delivery of infusate from the syringe pump was paused.

  • Publication number: 20240261501
Abstract: A multi-function, modular pump system can have a portable infusion pump configured for ambulatory use. The portable infusion pump can have a battery, a portable user interface, and a docking module or controller/container. The docking module or controller/container can have a security feature configured to prevent removal or unauthorized access and a pump mount configured to engage and stabilize the pump within the container, allow pump to maintain infusion continuity when removed, and enable rapid disengagement when authorized. An external user interlace can allow for control of the contained pump, review of pump run status, log event history, settings, and configurations. A machine interface can allow control signals to pass from external interface to a contained, engaged portable pump. A power module can be configured to provide power to both the contained portable infusion pump and the pump docking module or controller/container.

  • Patent number: 5213113
Abstract: An internal defibrillation electrode (10) is disclosed including a disposable electrode (12) and a reusable handle (14). The electrode includes an electrode spoon (16), a shaft (18), and a barrier sleeve (20). The handle includes a handle body (58), electrical cable (60), sleeve connector (62), and electrical connector (64). The handle has a dagger-style configuration that makes the electrode assembly easy to use and is further constructed to allow the electrode to be quickly and reliably attached. In that regard, during assembly, a bayonet (32) on the shaft of the electrode is engaged in a bayonet receptacle (68) of the handle. The sleeve is then pulled over the handle to form a barrier between the handle and the environment. After the electrode assembly is used, the sleeve is removed from the handle, the electrode disengaged from the handle, and the electrode disposed of. After attaching a new electrode, the handle is then ready for immediate service.
