    Abstract: Medicinal optical bandages and wound care devices are disclosed. A medicinal optical bandage includes a flexible wound dressing material configured to be sufficiently transparent to allow ambient wavelengths of light to pass through. The medicinal optical bandage also includes a wavelength conversion material configured to convert at least a portion of the ambient wavelengths of light that pass through the flexible wound dressing material into a therapeutic wavelength of light. The therapeutic wavelength of light comprises at least one antimicrobial wavelength of light within a range of 390 nm to 420 nm for reducing infection and/or at least one photobiomodulation (“PBM”) wavelength of light within a range of 600 nm to 1400 nm for accelerating healing. The wavelength conversion material is an integral part of the flexible wound dressing material.

The full bridge rectifier rectifies the AC voltage from the AC power source and produces a DC voltage. The LED device also includes a first LED circuit and a second LED circuit that are electrically coupled to the full bridge rectifier for receiving the DC voltage. The first LED circuit comprises at least two LEDs and a first current limiting device and the second LED circuit comprises at least two LEDs and a second current limiting device. The first current limiting device has a first current limiting value and the second current limiting device has a different, second current limiting value such that light emitted from the first LED circuit has a different color than light emitted from the second LED circuit.
