  • Publication number: 20140311762
Abstract: An erosion monitoring system is disclosed for use with a machine. The erosion monitoring system may have an ultrasonic sensor embedded within a replaceable cutting edge of a ground engaging tool connectable to the machine. The erosion monitoring system may also have a wireless communication element associated with the ultrasonic sensor, and a controller mountable onboard the machine in communication with the ultrasonic sensor via the wireless communication element. The controller may be configured to monitor a wear rate of the cutting edge based on signals from the ultrasonic sensor.

  • Publication number: 20140001828
Abstract: An undercarriage guiding assembly includes a track roller frame. The assembly may also include a roller connected to the track roller frame for rotation relative thereto, the roller having a roller body constructed from a single, unitary piece of parent material. The roller body may include a first roller tread disposed between a first end of the roller body and a second end of the roller body. The roller body may also include a second roller tread disposed between the first and second ends of the roller body. Additionally, the assembly may include an idler connected to the track roller frame for rotation relative thereto. The idler may include a huh and a body extending radially outward from the hub, the body having a first substantially planar side surface and a second substantially planar side surface opposite the first substantially planar side surface.

  • Publication number: 20140001823
Abstract: An idler for a machine undercarriage includes a hub. The idler may also include a body extending radially outward from the hub. The body may include a first disk extending radially outward from the hub. The body may also include a second disk extending radially outward from the hub and spaced laterally from the first disk. Radially outer portions of the first and second disks may form a split tread surface without depressed tread shoulders.

  • Publication number: 20130326968
Abstract: A precast concrete column supports a building. In one exemplary embodiment, the precast concrete column includes a connector for securing a wooden column to the precast concrete column such that no portion of the connector extends beyond the cross-section of the wooden column. In an alternative embodiment, a jack screw extends from the distal end of the precast concrete column to provide height adjustment for the precast concrete column. In certain embodiments, an insert or tube is cast into the precast concrete column body to allow a fastener to traverse the precast concrete column body so that structural components of the building may be secured thereto.

  • Patent number: 8444729
Abstract: An exhaust particulate filter for an engine system includes an array of filter cartridges positioned within a shell, each of the cartridges having an electrically powered heating element coupled therewith. Exhaust gases may be distributed among the cartridges according to a single distribution pattern, and the filter can be regenerated without diverting, dividing or bypassing exhaust gases from the filter. The filter cartridges may be cylindrical or wedge-shaped, or of a variety of other configurations. Regeneration may take place according to a non-axial regeneration propagation profile. Other aspects include feedback control and feedforward control of regeneration based on sensing an electrical resistance property of each of the electrically powered heating elements.
