  • Patent number: 8353159
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has at least two double action internal combustion cylinders and a separate double action compressor cylinder. Each double action internal combustion cylinder has a multi-point ignition system for each combustion chamber for causing multiple flame fronts to cause the fuel/air mixture to burn more quickly. Furthermore, the engine has a closed heat recovery system that takes heat from the exhaust of the internal combustion cylinder system and delivers power to a crankshaft. Accordingly, the internal combustion engine has increased efficiency by minimizing friction and extracting energy from multiple sources.
