  • Patent number: 4756661
Abstract: A motorized operator unit which is readily attachable to a conventional manually adjustable fork mechanism for adjustment of the forks by operation of a motor. The operator unit comprises support structure which supports a pair of elongate threaded rods. Each threaded rod has a pair of nuts threadedly attached thereto. A motor is operatively connected to the threaded rods for rotation thereof. Retainer members are attached to the nuts and prevent rotation thereof. The retainer members move with movement of the nuts along the threaded rods. The operator unit is adapted to be quickly attached to a carriage of a conventional manually adjustable fork mechanism, with the retainer members in engagement with the forks of the mechanism for movement of the forks.

  • Patent number: 4473239
Abstract: Apparatus providing an improved stabilizer pad assembly or foot construction for outriggers or stabilizer arms provides a housing containing a stabilizer pad in a manner to provide for a three dimensional relative movement therebetween under shifting load conditions. The housing of such apparatus is shell-like in character and has openings in its side and bottom, the side opening accommodating a slip fit therein of a stabilizer pad and its containment without any positive interconnection thereof to the housing. The containment of the pad is achieved by the application of a readily releasable rod to and across the side opening to the interior of the housing. The opening in the bottom of the housing provides for the dependency therethrough of an anchoring element forming part of the pad, which may be reversible in character.

  • Patent number: 4381166
Abstract: A lift unit for attachment to a vehicle having hoist members. The lift unit rotatably supports a plurality of elongate threaded rods. A drive motor is operably connected to the elongate threaded rods for rotation thereof. Nut members are threadedly joined to each of the threaded rods. Carrier members enclose the nut members and prevent rotation thereof. The carrier members and the nut members thus move along the threaded rods as the threaded rods are rotated. Fork members are joined to the carrier members for movement therewith. Operation of the drive motor thus moves the forks and changes the spacing therebetween, for positioning the forks below an object or at opposed portions of an object for supporting the object during movement of the lift unit with movement of the hoist members.
