  • Publication number: 20240075339
Abstract: A manually powered treadmill includes a front rotatable element and a rear rotatable element coupled to a frame; a bearing assembly at least partially supporting one of the front or rear rotatable elements; and a running belt disposed about the front and rear rotatable elements. The bearing assembly includes a predefined low viscosity bearing fluid. The running belt defines a non-planar running surface. The running belt includes a first endless belt and a plurality of slats, each slat having a first side and a second side and coupled to the first endless belt. Each slat in the plurality of slats defines at least one aperture, and the at least one aperture is structured to receive a fastener to facilitate coupling to the first endless belt.

  • Patent number: 6419039
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an inexpensive plastic protective guard that is securely attached to the crash bars and/or saddlebag protectors of a motorcycle or motorbike to protect the chrome finish thereon. The protective guard is comprised of a hollow pre-molded impact resistant plastic component which conforms to the shape of the crash bar or protective bar. The protective guard includes a longitudinal slit through its wall to allow opening of the guard and placed thereover where it securely snaps into place and serves to protect the chrome finish on these components in the event of a crash, dropping or scrape when these components come into contact with the pavement.

  • Patent number: 5541582
Abstract: A serial communication apparatus for directing data from a plurality of data input devices to a single data output device comprising a plurality of serial input connectors, a serial output connector, and logic and driver circuitry. The logic and driver circuitry automatically regulate the conditions under which a data input device transmits data to the data output device. In the illustrated embodiment of four data input devices, when all are idle, any of them may transmit data to the output device. If one data input device attempts to transmit data while the another data input device is transmitting data, then the logic and driver circuitry causes the second input device to pause until the first input device data transmission is complete. If both input devices attempt simultaneous data transmission, the logic and driver circuitry resolves the contest and allows only one data input device to transmit to the output device at a time.

  • Patent number: 4766758
Abstract: A method of monitoring the forces applied to dies in an underdrive press includes the step of determining the position of a frame in an upper slide of the press in relation to a surface of the slide. One or more force sensing transducers are then mounted on the surface of the upper slide each in a predetermined position with respect to the frame of the slide. The transducers are connected to a load monitoring device which is then calibrated to indicate the forces being applied to dies in the press during the operation of the press. The same steps are performed for each slide of an underdrive press having an inner upper slide and an outer upper slide.

  • Patent number: 4346671
Abstract: A plurality of identical panel sections are pivotally interconnected by a pin received in aligned sleeves. The sections may pivot in one direction until adjacent corners abut and in the opposite direction until the sections abut against a horizontally extending pin end portion thereby limiting further the angle of pivotal movement.

  • Patent number: 4336768
Abstract: A first open frame member has a U-shape frame member and a gate pivotally connected thereto with the gate movable between the frame members for sorting animals in either of two directions through the open frame members. A three-way sorting gate is possible by utilizing two of the first frame members with gates in parallel relation. A four-way sorting gate is provided by adding a two-way sorting gate and a five-way sorting gate is provided by combining two three-way sorting gates. In each instance the second frame member has top and bottom elements which pivot to the inner vertical element of the first frame member and the gate has a tube through which the vertical element of the first frame member extends. Each of the gates may be compactly folded for storage and transport.

  • Patent number: 4301872
Abstract: An articulated plow is provided with a laterally swingable pull bar (31) and steerable intermediate support wheels (46, 47) which are controlled by a hydraulic system providing correlated movement through parallel connected hydraulic jacks (37, 66). A latch mechanism (86) for releasably securing the pull bar (31) in its plowing position of adjustment is operated by the pull bar control jack (37) through an operating lever (41) having a lost motion connection with a spring loaded latch pin (87). A locking plate (131) is provided to automatically lock the latch pin (87) in its retracted position when the pull bar (31) is moved to its transport position.

  • Patent number: 4135588
Abstract: The boring and compacting tool comprising an elongated shaft having a front conical section and a rear cylindrical portion. A front helical spring is wrapped about the conical section and attached thereto at the ends thereof. A cutting head is threaded onto a front end of the conical portion. A distinct annular cylindrical collar fits about the cylindrical section of the shaft and is removably secured thereto. A rear helical spring is fitted about the conical portion of the shaft behind the collar and is threaded about the shaft in the same direction as the front helical spring.

  • Patent number: 4047575
Abstract: Power operated mechanisms are provided to operate a foldup implement which includes a double-acting hydraulic jack interconnected between a foldup wing section and a main section. The jack has a lost motion connection with the main section permitting the wing section to float up and down about its longitudinal pivot connection to the main section during field operations. An elongated slot of the lost motion connection is so disposed as to minimize any tendency for the end of the jack associated with the slot to move from its position at the laterally outer end of the slot as the wing section is raised to its transport position. To further insure that the end of the jack will not shift from its position at the laterally outer end of the slot as the wing section is raised to a transport position, an abutment member is disposed above a part of the slot so as to abut the end of the jack in the slot should the latter tend to shift laterally inwardly while the wing section is in its raised transport position.
