  • Publication number: 20160289987
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of mounting a pool skimmer to a wall of a saltwater swimming pool to prevent rusting of the wall in the skimmer mounting area. This is accomplished by interposing insulators between the corrosive salt water and the holes necessary to mount the skimmer. The front bracket of the skimmer of the present invention has cavities to accommodate the interposed insulators. The insulators are a combination of one-piece screws with metal washers, and rubber-like washers made of a TPE resin. The rubber-like washer IS sandwiched inside the cavity of the front bracket by the screw's metal washers. The interposing insulators resist salt water from leaking down a screw's threads and attacking the integrity of the metal wall of the swimming pool. The insulators form a watertight seal around the screw thus preventing salt water from corroding the wall of the metal swimming pool.

  • Publication number: 20160010352
Abstract: The present invention relates to a salt water swimming pool skimmer with a skimmer body mounted into a cavity formed in the swimming pool wall. The body is provided with a mouth with a flat face formed around the perimeter. The face portion is adapted to fit snugly around the outer wall that surrounds the swimming pool's cavity. The face portion has a front lip extending around the lower part of the face potion, a face plate with a flat configuration and a shape identical to the shape of the face portion, and a rear lip formed around the lower part of the face plate. The face plate is adapted to fit snugly around an inner wall of said swimming pool surrounding the cavity, and the front and rear lips securely mount or clamp the skimmer within the cavity without compromising integrity of the salt water swimming pool's wall.

  • Patent number: 9109351
Abstract: A connector for connecting lengths of conduit sections having an outer corrugated surface, comprising a body having apertures, an outer rigid surface and an inner deformable surface as well as opposite open extremities. The inner surface defines a channel for receiving at least one conduit section through at least one of the open extremities. Fasteners are inserted into the channel through said apertures. When the corrugated conduit is fitted into the channel, the fasteners are insertable through the apertures for extending into the channel thereby interfering with the corrugated surface of the conduit and substantially preventing the conduit from being removed from the channel.

  • Publication number: 20140353084
Abstract: The present invention relates to a swimming pool structure with steps and handrails, installed inside a swimming pool to permit entering and exiting a pool. An anti-slip surface is incorporated into the steps and handrails, which improves friction between the structure and a user's feet and hands to promote safety when entering and exiting a swimming pool. The anti-slip surface is an overmolded coating that covers all parts of the structure that come into contact with the user's body. The overmolded coating is an elastomeric material such as a thermoplastic or natural elastomer with rubber-like features.

  • Publication number: 20120079651
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stair assembly for a swimming pool comprising a top stair portion that is adapted to be securely attached to a bottom stair portion by means of a frame that connects the top and bottom stair portions. Weight support means, being a plurality of posts, are incorporated within the stair assembly to reinforce the assembly and provide equal weight distribution. Stair assembly support means, being front and rear tie bars, are securely attached underneath the bottom stair portion. A handrail is mounted on the stair assembly adapted to be attached to a deck of a swimming pool. The top and bottom stair portions are provided with securely-attached skirts. Top stair portion weight support means are securely mounted between the top stair portion and the frame, and the bottom stair portion weight support means are securely mounted between the frame and the front and rear tie bars.

  • Publication number: 20070001456
Abstract: The present invention relates to connectors and more specifically to a connector for drainage conduits that are typically used for carrying liquid or semi-solid matters from one location to another. The connector includes a body provided with a passage, apertures and clips, the clips being so configured and sized as to be insertable to and removable from the connector such that the drainage conduits may be securely assembled to and disassembled from the connector. In an embodiment, the connector of the present invention further comprises a gasket for sealingly engaging drainage conduit sections.
