  • Publication number: 20070048117
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems, methods, and apparatus for moving and lifting objects with a lifting fork. In one aspect of the invention, a system includes at least one fork and a detachable roller housing adapted to mount to the at least one fork. The detachable roller housing can include at least one upper roller capable of contact with an object, and at least one lower roller capable of contact with a portion of the at least one upper roller and a supporting surface. Rotation of the one lower roller causes rotation of the one upper roller with respect to the object. The detachable roller housing can also include a retaining device adapted to secure the at least one fork with respect to the detachable roller housing.

  • Publication number: 20060037832
Abstract: The present invention comprises an adaptable transfer conveyor for the storage and movement of goods. One embodiment of the invention includes an adaptable transfer structure for conveying a load from a first location to a second location. The adaptable transfer structure can include at least one profile capable of supporting a wheel assembly, and a plurality of wheel assemblies capable of conveying a load. Each wheel assembly can include an axle with at least one end capable of mounting to the at least one profile, at least one wheel rotatably mounted to the axle, wherein the at least one wheel is capable of contacting a portion of the load. The wheel assembly can also include a spring capable of maintaining the position of the respective wheel assembly with the at least one profile, and further capable of permitting the manual removal of the respective wheel assembly from the at least one profile when the spring is compressed against either the at least one wheel or the at least one profile.

  • Publication number: 20050225028
Abstract: Conveyor systems for storage and movement of goods on pallets and slip sheets. The transfer structures enable slip sheet mounted loads to be transferred to a roller conveyor by providing structures that cooperate with wide platen forks of a lift truck. The structures provide roller contact between a portion of the underside of the slip sheet at all times. In other areas there is alternatively contact between a lift truck platen or additional rollers that cooperate in a manner making it possible to move the slip sheet mounted load from the lift truck to an adjacent conveyor system.

  • Publication number: 20050077151
Abstract: Freewheel flow track systems for transporting pallets and/or cartons in heavy-duty pallet and carton flow applications are disclosed. According to certain embodiments of the invention, a flow track system comprising multiple longitudinally extending, parallel track sub-assemblies is disclosed. The track sub-assemblies each comprise multiple wheel assemblies mounted to a track frame and arranged in a row extending from an entrance end of the track assembly to an exit end of the track assembly. Each wheel assembly comprises an axle and a polycarbonate resin wheel rotatably mounted on the axle. A lubricant coating is fixed to and bonded with the axle. The wheel is constructed from a polycarbonate-based resin that is impregnated with a lubricant for providing lifetime lubrication to the wheels. The wheel includes a hub, a rim concentric with the hub, a web connecting the hub to the rim, and ribs connecting the hub to the rim through the web.
